inside display

alright, I'm not entire sure about this issue. I have a spot on my monitor that is a dull gray color. Its not a stuck pixel, because those wouldnt be gray. I dont know if it is dead pixels or not. Mostly im not sure because it appears that this spot is an irregular shape. My thought is some dirt or something actually inside the display. I wasn't sure if this was possible, so i checked it out and found that some other people have apparently had the same issue.

Is this actually possible to get dirt inside the display like behind the glass, and are there any good fixes for this?

I am not sure about all LCD's but all the ones I have had any experience with (and its been a lot) they do not have a "glass" front on them. the screen you can touch and clean is the LCD panel itself. Tightly sandwiched behind the panel are lens's and diffusers. If its a tiny spec it could be a pixel.. If its larger than a pixel then I am not sure... If you have any sort of high magnification device it would help you. For instance, I have several focusing lenses out of old scanners that can be used to get up close and personal with said blemish to help identify it. I hope you figure it out.. good luck....
