Default How to fix a stuck pixel guide

I just posted a new blog entry:

[drupal=72]How to fix a stuck pixel guide[/drupal]

Quote:
Pressure Method:

1. Turn off your computer's monitor.
2. Get yourself a damp washcloth, so that you don't scratch your screen.
3. Take a household pen, pencil, screwdriver, or some other sort of instrument with a focused, but relatively dull, point. ...

You can find the [drupal=72]full post here[/drupal].

Shame it doesn't work for me. Nice post anyway, sure it'll work for some folk.

Gave me some hope though at least!

Still got the annoying pixel staring at me... I think it's laughing at me >.>

Has anyone had any luck with this. My new 24" monitor has a pixel stuck on green right in the middle of the monitor. Its killing me slowly.

Nope. Mine is still stuck. I've gotten used to it.

Also (lol) luckily mine is in the almost exact center of the screen, meaning in any FPS game without a cross-hair, I still have a cross hair

Actually, Ive had positive results on this. I tried it, but it didnt work for like a week when the dead pixel kinda got dimmer, then I did it some more and about another week later the dead pixel was gone. I dont know if it was supposed to take that long for it to work but I can proudly say I got rid of a huge green dead pixel on the middle of my screen

Thanks TK

EDIT: I used to pressure method
