| Solaris is giving away a free copy of their Solaris 10 OS on DVD.
I just got mine and Solaris told me to expect my copy within 10 business days. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Hey if it is free, I usually will try it. But what the heck is it? Now before you roll your eyes, I did a quick google on it. Solaris, made by Sun, the Unix folks right? So this is another Unix/Linux OS right. Cool, I got a borg on a legit WinXP, if it will fold, I will try it out and free up a Win CD key. I need to get back into trying to learn some more Linux or Unix stuff. If you are familiar with it, will folding run on it, and will it dual boot with XP? Thanks for the link, and thanks in advance for the help. E | ||

| Fred_g Unix will run F@H actually more effeciently than Windows (it uses much less resources). I thnk alpha has Solaris running 8 instances of F@H. Otherwise Solaris is a great solution. You can download it for free from there site, so the disk in the mail is just an advantage. I would suggest it if you want to learn UNIX, solaris is the way to go with UNIX (IMO, BSD is also very good). Ordered mine and haven't received it either, lol, i never even saw this thread.... | ||

| Mine came in today. Not sure if I'm going to use it right off, but at least I know it's there when I want it. I just got my PVR setup running. I don't want to sabotage it with a new "untested" (by me) OS that will render me PVR-less. -hartigan | ||
