allright thought this would be the best place to ask this. for some reason XP doesnt like my easy cd creator so i am on the look out for a burning program,CHEAPEST POSSIBLE. i dunno for the cash it might just be better to get a new burner (that comes with program) and call it done,still thinking about that route.but tell me what programs ya guys know of that are a good buy.its a toss up 30 bucks for a program or 60 for a lite on burner.
if any of you guys are using a lite on are they quiet?any problems with em?just looking for a deal.....thanks for all that reply
crud forgot to say that im looking for backing up stuff more than music (dont need mp3 convert ) ,my artwork,fonts,game saves ect.....

I've been using Easy Cd 6 lately. It seems to be a little less buggy than Easy Cd 5.

Seems the majority of people I know use Nero though.

The lite-on burner is the best deal for the dollars. It's an excellent burner.

Although I haven't used it myself, I have read in several articles that the latest version of Roxio's Easy CD software is very good for general purpose tasks. It has capabilities and performance near Nero but is a lot easier to use.

All you need is to go to Roxio's website once it's installed and update it for XP. I use it and CloneCD, but that's another story...

I have Burn n Go, and it's pretty good. I like Nero Best though.

I bought my Lite-On 40X Burner quite awhile ago, but it was bundled with the full version Nero Burning ROM. I think what I have is almost the ideal pairing of hardware and software there is for the $$$.
The only catch to the software is that it MUST be used with the bundled drive. I paid about $65 for it, but like I said that was some time ago.

Nero Rules! I am also one of its many bitches.

most of the new quality drives anymore that I have seen actually come with at the least Nero 5 which is more than adequate for most uses.
