Last month, Thrasher posted a good deal on this player -- it was $95 (list is $169). This month, if you don't mind a reconditioned one, IBM has them on closeout for $49.99. Free shipping. The going price on eBay seems to be around $75. Holds about 375 MP3's (assuming 4MB each), plays WMA's too, has a claimed 16-hour battery life, connects via USB 2.0. As with the iPod, this is a hard-drive based player, so it's not as knock-around-able as the smaller-capactiy flash-based players.

For giggles, CompUSA has a no-name 128MB player for the same price.
