Logitech X-530 - pretty cheap.

On some sites I checked this out, they go for as high as $90..
Newegg is having a "Halloween Treats" sale, one of their items being the Logitech X-530. They have been out of stock the last whole week, so today they're finally back in stock. I just ordered 'em myself a few minutes ago. I've heard lots of good things about these speakers..(just ask J-dogg, I think these are the ones he's been bragging about.)

I cranked these things all the way up the otehr night and the power meter doors on the other side of my room were rattling outside

*stomps* I GOT THEM TOO!!!!

Don't make me crank em up....you'll hear it...they get really loud really fast. Quarter turn is normal listening (for me) Don't even wanna try half turn

They are in close proximity however (left speaker 1 foot from center which is 1 foot from right, I don't have a large desk) so i don't know how they'd perform in other situations. Sure that they could get a fairly large room (providing the cords will reach).
I love the lows on songs, you feel the vibrations through the floor and your body.

OK, it's official, these speakers are excellent, but are totally NOT for you if other people are living in your house, everyone keeps telling me to turn them down, even though they are so low I can't hear them over all the servers in my room
