Isn't Alaska just a colony of Canada now anyway?? J/K That sucks for you, I imagine gas isn't very cheap up there in the first place.

2.17 for low grade, 2.43 for high grade.

We only refine the oil for our state's use. Very small refining operation compared to refining capabilities the rest of the US possesses. Also transporting the gas is no small task - since the state is huge for such a small population. Also.. lets face it - the oil industry does love their 400% profit margin. Yet can't just pay off on the Exxon Valdez.
