Same here. Thats a really good deal if it doesnt have any rebates, but knowing dell it probably does. Oh well.

Wow, that's a 36 dollar price increase just to get SATA. I got my PATA 200gig drive at Fry's a few weeks ago for 70 after rebate.

Still, what's up with Dell and all it's specials on nice hardware?

I always steer away from "good" deals like this from Dell, something in
their versions of hardware sold must be propeitary, or straight from hell...

Now that I have experienced Raid0 SATA drives, I don't think there's any other solution worth considering. I got 160GB for $160 total. Might seem like a lot... but I wouldn't do anything else... plus... it is 1 dollar / GB. I suppose if you set those up in Raid0 that'd be cool too.... it's just too much space though if you ask me.
