Just thought I'd let people know about this even though most have probably seen it. It is at newegg and it is their shellshocker deal. Would of posted link but can't do that til i have 15 post so sorry for no link. Just picked one up myself. I was thinking about getting the 850w Antec but this was a hell of a deal.

i am somewhat in need of replacing my current PSU in my sig, but personally with todays power hungry GPUs, i would not buy this one due to the lack of PCIE power connections.

both the 850w and the 1kw only have 2 6 pin and 2 8pin. so thats pretty much good for just 2 GPUs. which is more than enough for alot of people, but worthless for people doing 3 way SLI or quad. im not saying i am, but i want that option if i do. plus @ a $299 price tag, i would buy a better PSU from silverstone or PC&C.

im not sayign this is a abd PSU, by no means what so ever, just to me this is old tech, asking for a high price.

yes before i get flamed, ya you could sacrafice your 4 pin molex x 2 to 1 6 pin, but why?
at $300 it should have 4 x 6 pin and 2 x 8 pin ATLEAST, and a strong 12v rail. but anyways

for normal users, and even power users who dont demand alot from PSU's i give this a thumbs up

Not a fan of having multiple 12volt rails,but with 72 amps on tap its a really good deal at that price.
