| Looking for Noctua 120mm fans. If you know of a better fan, will buy it. Need it for my heatsink and a case fan. Starting to like the overclocked, quiet 'puters. Thanks. E Last edited by Fred_G; 27-January-08 at 06:42 PM. Reason: typo | ||

if noise is the only problem for you , you could always use the 5v (red, black) to make your fan turn slower & be more quiet. that's what i do for fans that are to noisy

| The noctua fans are expensive, as you probably already know... I won 1 120mm and 1 80mm here at PC Apex... great fans.... but price/noise/performance ratio...not all that great in my opinion... I use a few of these Thermaltake A2330 Silent Wheel 130mm Fan 54.4 CFM 16dBA myself.... quiet, moves quite some air, and about a third of Noctuas price tag. COOLER MASTER R4-S2S-124K-GP 4 PACK 120MM LOW NOISE FAN 44.73CFM 19.3DBA $19.99 COOLER MASTER Y720CCD-25K1-GP 120MM SILENT CASE FAN 110CFM 16DBA $11.99 Last edited by BeetleMan; 27-January-08 at 07:37 PM. | ||

Thereby reducing power output, and airflow. Not good in general, let alone when dealing with OC... :S

| I'm a fan of the Silverstone 120mm FM121 fans. There adjustable and at low speed there as quiet as a Nexus fan and at High Speed you have 110 cfm of cooling goodness. NewEgg has them on sale for $19.98 with shipping included :-) Newegg.com - SILVERSTONE FM121 120mm Case Fan - Retail | ||
