This entails paying attention to some details... like cost, intent, usability, features and so on. This card rocks for the price you pay for it and the performance gains you receive from it. Card has run solid and stable for me under Vista, XP, and various versions of Linux. I intensively game and have yet played a game that taxes this card). The closest I've come to lack luster performance is playing Oblivion cranked up to max. I assume when I write a review that you are a value buyer as opposed to performance/latest greatest. Buy this card if you are looking for the affordable work horse. You will not be disappointed. |

COD2 and Oblivion lags a bit, but that's probably my fault because I set the resolution higher then the game recommended. I would imagine that if this card had 512MB of memory, it would perform better on those games. Overall I have no complaints, and because the card was so cheap I had enough money left over to up-grade to 1GB of RAM. |

When i started up my computer, and started to install, it was super easy to follow along, and it was fast. When all done, i played some games i usually play such as Silkroad Online, Counter-Strike Source, and Dark masiah on full and NO LAGG AT ALL. My computer is an AMD Sempron 2800+ and 1Gb Ram. In Counter-Strike source, i get a max fps of 150, and the lowest i get is 50. Its a recommended card to anyone. |

The only downside to this card is the opengl support in Maya, and I'm sure if this is due to Autodesk's implementation or Nvidia's drivers, or probably both, but this is the only issue. I also run Zbrush and I can navigate a scene with a 9 million polycount with great ease. I highly recommend this card for your general needs. And I highly recommend ordering from Tiger Direct for their speedy and professional service! | |
