| Well, yesterday when I arrived at work, I was greeted by a pleasant surprise…a delivery of flowers! Aside from catching me off guard, I think all of the other women in the office were caught off guard too. Not that many people have poked and prodded about my personal life or relationship status, so they either assumed I was dating or assumed I was living the single life. And I’ve never brought that topic up in conversations either - it's just much safer that way. Either way, the past two days have been filled with people trying to drill me for details, talk about hilarity! As annoying as it was to have everyone here ask who sent them or if there was a special occasion, it was fun to watch their curiosity get the best of them. So of course, I played it off as much as I could and told everyone who asked that I didn’t know who sent them, and that there was no card included (had to hide that sucker)! That drove them insane. And on the other end, my girlfriend was enjoying this. As nice of a thought it was for her to send the flowers, she knew she would get a load of entertainment out of it hearing all of the stories I told her about people bugging me and asking questions. And she knows how much gossip flies around here, so right off the bat she knew she would be causing some commotion. I think she enjoyed it way too much….pretty sick if you ask me! The funny thing is, earlier in the week we talked about having flowers delivered for her birthday or special occasions, and here she goes, not wasting a second and beating me to it. I’ve been given flowers in the past (usually for special occasions), but this was the first time I’ve had them delivered to me – and it wasn’t for anything special! And during my 1 year here, I have yet to see another guy receive a delivery of flowers – the girls get them all the time though. So that was my highlight of the week | ||

| Thats sweet. My wife has had flowers deliverd to me at work and at the hotel I was staying in. As thoughtful as having flowers delivered is, the entertainment is also valuable. Sounds like your GF thinks highly of you. ![]() | ||

| You know why she had to beat you to the flowers delivery thing, right? Now you're OBLIGATED to have something even more extravagant delivered to her (in front of co-workers) on her birthday... Now don't forget, ok? | ||

| Deffinetly sweet, in a evil way, in a sweet way. I've heard some other stories about office flower deliveries - actually, most of them were probably from here as well - and they all involve the sender enjoying slightly embarasing their sweet-heart. At my school, before Valentine's Day, you can buy a rose with a card and they go from class to class on Valentine's Day delivering them. It always causes a ruckus ...Maybe one day I'll be in the chaos? Probably not. At my last highschool, which is technically the same, we just moved, you could get the morning anouncer to make personal announcements in the mornings. It lasted a few weeks and didn't really catch on, but I thought it was a good idea. | ||

lol yep! Another reason she did it before me! Although her birthday is coming up in the next few months...I'm gonna send her something in a week or two...just as a nice little surprise! But unlike me, she won't get bombarded with nearly as many questions as I did...so she gets off the hook a bit easier. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
