Well folks - time and time again you folks have clamored for a PimpRig/PCApex get-together. We have the makings of one if y'all are interested. Registration opened for PDXLAN 24 hours ago, and so far me and NoSlak are already registered, Phlak is sitting on the fence, and BeachBum is right behind us awaiting his paypal payment to clear. It'll be September 22nd-25th, Portland Oregon, we're all sitting at table 19, and money talks and BS walks.

Trust me folks - I REALLY loved strippers, liquor, and BlackJack too. It's a kick, and an good time to do your experiments on caffeine tolerence because the weak-sause caffeine such as Pepsi, Mountain Dew, and such is free as mentioned above.

So folks - how does it sound? Wanna step up, or are we going to have years and years of "We really ought to have...." convos again? I know lots of you aren't going to be able to due to logistics, but hey.. if you're excuse is vacation time/money, I've given you all plenty of time to plan. Just remember, it may seem silly to pay this far ahead - but it'll get very hard for us to sit in a group if you wait. You select your seat when you pay, if you don't pay and select a seat early... you're SOL.

We already discussed this and I am a definite maybe :-P I'll be done with my contract in Alaska at the perfect time so I don't see why not, but I can't commit quite yet.

I would love to go but for the sheer amout of money it would cost me to et to your side of the pond.

Aren't most of the people here on the East coast? We need to get something together there!

I am still sitting on the fence because I am suppose to be the best man in a wedding on the 23rd. But I am trying to change that....lol
My first plan was to be at PDXLAN and I was asked to be in the wedding after that....lol

Not really any great place to meet up, everyone seems to be pretty evenly spread out across the whole eastern US.

yeah i've been to a few PDXLANs so far and have to say one thing. its great. 4 days of lanning, contests, prize giveaways, and most importantly, bottomless soda. i won my current case in the raffle at my first one and got second place with it in the case mod contest at my second. if you like lanning, this is were you want to be. and if you can make it, i highly recomend it. i unfortunatly cant make this one. but i'll be there in the future.

OMG, im gunna go kick paypals ass, it takes soooo long for the transfer to go through. i could have just gone to portland and payed in person

Yep - reason I said logistics always will suck. PDXLAN gets folks from Florida/Alaska even so *shrug* some people are just more hard core than others.

wel i say we find a massive hotel lobby rent it out and have a PCALAN over here on the east coast, and do it with prizes from AMD, ATI, DFI, and Lian Li but then again that would make it almost perfect compared to PDXLAN

D@mmit! I spent my vacation money in Vegas this year! (starts excel spreadsheet for PDXLAN savings plan for next year!) Vegas was an absolute blast so Iat if you are saying this is more fun then that....well I am not sure I would survive but I sure want to give it a try!

Don't forget the rather high risk investment capital you need to reserve a conference center, tons of paperwork, emails and such for sponsors etc etc.
