| No, I'm not GrandpaNoob72.... Yes, today is his day to post.... So this is not a mistake! GN72 actually was called upon to perform some important duties over the next several weeks. When I asked GN72 exactly what was so important, he just pointed a big'ol rifle at me and mumbled some super secret stuff to me which I've been sworn to secrecy not to tell or I have to give up my first born. Heck of a trade if you ask me So all I could do was smile and do him a favor by posting his first Daily Disturbance Article! Here we go! ----- Well, here it is, my first official DD post. It's been a long time coming, but well worth it, IMO. My apologies for having to submit this to someone else to post for me, circumstances beyond my control have made it so. It will have to be this way for the next couple weeks as well... Before I get to boring everyone to tears, a little background... Iron Serif approached me back in middle to late November (I think it was) of last year, and asked if I would be interested and / or able to write a Guest Writer post. I was thrilled, honored, and humbled, all at the same time. Unfortunately, I was in the middle of a move, so time to myself online was virtually nonexistent, what with the worries of relocating self and family. I asked him to keep me in mind, and I would be happy to contribute something, when I had more time... The move went alright, I guess... We found a place to live, I started getting settled in to my new job, even found some time to start a new mod project. A post here, a post there, some drama along the way, which I don't really need to rehash... As in life, there are disagreements along the way. I wish I could honestly say that I kept my cool, that I was the voice of reason in every single thread that boiled my blood. Truth is, sometimes I was the level head, and other times, I should have just kept my keystrokes to myself and moved along. Some recent events online and IRL have precipitated changes in the Staff here at PCA. Some folks coming on, others moving around, and others leaving, whether on a good or bad note... That got me thinking about change, as a whole... For the most part (I would think), people aren't necessarily fearful of change, but it does raise their stress level a bit. There are the ones who cannot function in the face of change, others who plod through and make it to the other side, and finally those who enjoy and actually look forward to having some aspect of their lives turned completely upside-down by change. Change doesn't have to be extreme, like say gender reassignment surgery, nor does it have to be trivial, like what to eat instead of your usual (because they're sold out) at your favorite restaurant. Me for me, I don't really look forward to change, but I'm not paralyzed at the prospect of it, either... Guess I'm just a "grin-and-bear-it" kinda guy... What sort of person would you say you are? Someone who thrives on change, one who just grins and bears it, or someone who has a hard time with change, not in particular, but just in general? | ||

| Change. Yeah, I'm a point in life where my life is changing big time. I graduate in 25 days. I'll be going out of state for school; I won't be near my friends from the best four years of my life and I'll be out of my comfort zone. PCApex has changed. New faces, old faces gone, but in the end, it's inevitable. Just hope its for the best. PCApex has gone to the dogs, I mean, we've made GrandpaNoob72 staff. This can't be good... ![]() | ||

| Since high school, I haven't lived in one place for more than three years. I love change and I love the opportunity to be able to roam across this wide world, experiencing new things and meeting new people. Who wants to be bored, living in the same place, day after day? My Dad worked the same job for about 35 years, driving the same highway back and forth. I think that I would have gone insane by year #5. | ||

| Finally back in town from a week of "camping out", complete with ticks, mosquitos, thunderstorms, hail storms, tornado watches, mud, long hours, and crappy food delivered three hours past its deadline... Thanks for the hook-up, Iron! And, for the record, it wasn't that big a rifle... Just an M4, like in my avatar... | ||
