Whew! 3rd post in this forum this week - at lest I didn't have to do the hard work this time. Today I'm honored to post our next Guest Writer's work - Musclecars&Computers! He writes about First Person Shooters - adrenaline rushes and thrill for the kill. So folks 'nuff of my yakking - on to his article.

Alright, IÂ’ve written up a little gamming story for everyone to read. I was shocked when asked to be a guest writer for the Daily Disturbance post. At first I said no but I thought about it and changed my mind. Well here we goÂ…..

You have been called to the line of battle! You donÂ’t know what to feel. You are happy, sad, mad, glad, and amazed at the same time. You get to choose your weapon, you choose the assault rifle. The deadly killing machine, man power, just hearing it you almost piss yourself. You learn how to use it, how to take it apart and put it back together. You also get grenades and learn to use them. You are now prepared for battle, you start a boy and finish a man.

You arrive at the battle front, see people firing. All your greatest fears youÂ’ve had before doesnÂ’t compare to what your feeling now. The adrenaline is pumping threw your veins. Your breathing heavy. You get off the truck and run to the front.

You now are worrying and noticing everything that happens around you. You keep your weapon drawn searching for the enemy before he finds you.

You run to the end of the street and kneel down on your knees. Your scared, your heart racing like your running a marathon! You swallow and hold your weapon up ready to fire! You slowly peek around the cornerÂ…. YOU SEE SOMEONE!!! ItÂ’s the enemy! Now every second feels like a minute, you point your rifle at him the best you can. Then you draw the courage and pull the triggerÂ…Â…. BOOM he is falling to the ground.

Then you run out screaming like a mad man and keep firing and firing at the body to make sure he is dead! This feeling itÂ’s overwhelming you feel like you was born a killer, unstoppable you feel. You turn and start running ready to kill your next victim.

Then all of a sudden u here a silent boom in the background, you feel a sharp stinging in your chest!! You start seeing black dots, you fall to your knees on the ground, everything getting darker and dizziness in your head! You collapse to the ground! Seeing blood everywhere you slowly dieÂ…Â…Â….

What happened? Is this the end? No, u have just been shot by a sniper. Welcome to the world of online gamming!!! You are now hooked. You respawn to do it all over again.

After several games you are getting better, later you are a killing master. Then after a couple of months 70 kills a game is becoming childÂ’s play. You get tired of it. So you may ask what happens now?

Well, you are now writing a Daily Disturbance paper about it. And you are saving up money for your next addictive thrill seeker game.

So guys my first DD post. What u think? Should I keep my day job or get this copyrighted? XD

Nice write-up man, ive always been a FPS fan ever since Duck Hunt... as a matter of fact i think that was the very game that turned me on to FPS.

Hahaha, I've never heard anyone call Duck Hunt a FPS before! Although I suppose it could have been third person with the hunter off screen to the right, since the dog does go that way...ok I'm putting too much thought into this...
