...what a weekend this has been for me.



First, the drama that ruffled a few feathers among some of the folks around here that could have been avoided. Then, a great afternoon of fellowship with Digital-World and Pimpette at an Outback in Ft. Wayne, IN. Then a phone call from Glitterkill asking if I'd be able to step up to the plate and fill some pretty big shoes.

*...ducks to miss flying keyboard...*

No, Foe, I didn't mean that you literally had big feet...just an expression!

...let's see...note to self: never tell a woman she's got big feet...

Anyway, I feel extremely honored that Glitterkill considered me for the position of Admin here at PCApex. I'm already one of the admins over at our sister site, GameApex, so I guess he felt comfortable enough to ask me to pull some double-duty. I've got no problems with it and I'm actually looking forward to serving both Glitterkill and this community to the best of my ability.

I've never really had a beef with anyone from this site that didn't end up leaving anyway for some reason or another. I'm a pretty easy going guy and will continue to be one. However, there will be times that I'm not going to win any popularity contests when trouble occurs because that nice guy persona goes right out the door pretty quick. Understand that I try not to make it personal; however, I'm acting in the best overall interest on what's best for Glitterkill and for PCApex. If somehow my actions seem to offend, well, that's unfortunate and I want you to blame me personally and not this site.

I'll more than likely be stepping down from my position as Monday's Daily Disturbance writer...

*...large cheer comes up from the crowd with chants of 'no more long winded posts'...*

Anyway, I'll be busy with the duties at both here and over at GameApex so that's going to limit my time to write a weekly article. I'll stay onboard for a few weeks, though, to give IronSerif some time to find a suitable replacement. I'll miss being a staff member with few responsibilities, standing off in the corner and admiring the view. Nope, no more middle management for me as I've got the key to the executive washroom now.

So, with that, let's get back to doing what we all came here to do. Discuss computers, damage limbs with our dremels, and share a little fellowship with one another.

Well said! Cant wait to have a run in with ya, so far im 0-2 on the last two head admins, we shall see. Ive got a pretty big mouth.....All admin nod in agreement....but i promise i wont purposefully try and get in your hair. You still have hair right?

Back during the dark days of a week ago I said something about how my favorite posters weren't backseat moderating to show their aspiration towards an admin position. I was about to say "that's what makes Rob such a good admin"... and realized you weren't one. And here we are!
