Default I Now See The Light

Well I finally went out and took advantage of my insurance. Over the past few weeks I have started to develope a night little twitch in my right eye. After scratching it and a few hospital or doctors visits to see whats going on, I got a eye exam.

After going out looking for glasses for over a month I finally found a piar I liked. As usuall even glasses find a nice nitch for fashion and copy one another. So in a nutshell out of 100 pairs you will find one thats different. Much like everything else in life.... cases, games, shooz (That is just for godfoot) ect....no varity.

So now I have new eyes after about 12 years with the same lenses, and saw things today I wish I didn't. Want to see things in a whole new life try public transportation someday. Take a bus ride for three hours. I got to see a jeans jacket with "God's Poperty" written across the shoulders, in glitter paint. Four blind people get on the bus while only me and one person got up to give our seats to theim. The other people just bitched when they tapped their shoes with the seeing cane they use. One elderly man that could run like hell when the bus passed him on the intersection and he flagged it down. Then took ten minutes to walk a very slow pace to get on,pay and get his seat. I might add he was not winded either so I am not being cold. I know this for a fact because he had no problems yelling in his mobile phone.

So I guess the new glasses are nice in the fact that now I have the anti glare coating on them. Might help out with the eye twitch. But I have to add somedays it nice being blind or seeing through distorted vision. Least I had a excuse of saying "I didn't see that"

You should actually count yourself lucky Flounder, for it's the person that NEVER see's or pays attention to the rude, arogent, disrespectful etc etc behaivior that never learns or trys to better themself and become a more decent human being.

Oh and glad to hear your twitch is gone.

As a finish carpenter, my 20/20 vision has been a lifelong asset. The ability to see unaided the minutest of details has been my stock in trade...and I have recently begun to wonder for just how much longer. I am going to be 40 this year, and I've been thinking a lot more that I may not be seeing all that I did before. On a few occasions I've had a tougher time focusing. Perhaps it's time to start looking at some frames I'd like. Any suggestions Flounder? I love the Smith Factors you picked out.
