... when a young man's fancy turns to love.

Well, I'm not so young, and still in love with the wife (even after 9 years of marriage), but lately my mind has been on spring.

I guess you could say that I have spring fever, and as any of you members who live above the Mason-Dixon line know, the arrival of spring is something to look forward to:

The air is no longer cold and stale... you can smell the earth, flowers, trees, LIFE.

You can take 1 or 2 of the multiple blankets off the bed.

If you are lucky enough, you can open a window or two to get some fresh air in the house.

The flowers start to bloom and the lawn starts to look like something other than a oversized shreaded wheat biscut.

The robins are back.

Precipitation is in liquid form!!!

Unfortunately that means that more things pop into the Honey-Do list, but it is a small price to pay after 1/4 of the year below freezing.

Well, I'm off to rake out some flower beds before the sun goes down.

amen(sp???) to that, i love the smell, but hate the allergies, buds are already growing and i already have birds tryting to live in my ac(leave running all year b/c i like the sound it makes when i sleep)....man when spring rolls around i can get hacking away on new mods outside and a paintjod....well thats for up in this hemisphere, below us its winter...that sucks...lol

Yes I agree, Spring is here and I feel it. I can't take life in the freeznig cold and wearing stacks of clothing and getting the flu. With Spring you can smell the clean air and feel good about yourself.

But Spring means only one thing to me...which is the arrival of Summer draws near!
And we all know Summer is when all the chicks come out to play.

Yep, can't wait to open the windows and get some fresh air and dump some of those blankets/comforters off of the bed lol.

I do like it kinda cold though....but hell, it's definitely time for Spring

All that crap the wife thought about all winter long will actually have to get done.

It's supposed to be 50s to 60s all week... I may even put away the snowblower.

But you know that if I do that, we'll get a nice "Spring Blizzard"

AH ha, yes spring little closer to surfing, kiteboarding and wakeboarding season but saying goodbye to snowboarding season...is a hard goodbye but its for the better, summer activities seem more fun to me anyhow.

Ah yes.... Spring! The season the wife and I pick up our cycling & hiking hobbies again... in my case
that's a really good thing... since I get a bit too fat in winter (cooking & eating are my other hobbies..)... lol.... time to work it off! Gardening helps as well! Tried my shiny new electric verticuter this week.... that baby
sure 'packs some power! Shoes with steel noses are recommended....

One other GREAT thing... spraypaint "cures" faster!!!!

I don't know which on eis worse, Spring or Fall. Oh wait , there if football in the fall and bad allergies in the spring. I love the summer here though, our "winter" coats come out to protect us against the fog !!!!!!! W00t!
