| Just got back from laying wood flooring all weekend (yee-hah!) so I'm a bit mentally spent. To entertain you folks, I thought I'd post some poems that I wrote a few years back. Until next week, stay safe out there, Rob __________________________________________________ ___________ Morning happiness… By Rob XXXXXXXX Gleaning sunlight doth wake the morning air, Fresh and vibrant on the dawn’s early breeze, Band of light hath broken through the shades, To illuminate closed eyes of a brand new day, In this early hour, my mind laid bear, Yesterday’s troubles I do appease, Tension of worries they do fade, For Sunday morn is time of play, For I slept well throughout the night, She slept near to my delight, Without question there is but one reply, The happy answer doth make me cry, For next to me is the one I love, I’ll have no other for she is my beloved. If only this eternity would last until the end of time, Forever will she know the depth of my love sublime. __________________________________________________ ___________ The Warm Winter Season By Rob XXXXXXXX Abandoned upon the wasteland, echo resounding through the leafless trees, The moon’s cold glare, shining down upon the ice-hardened snow, Living a life of solitary, I sail unafraid through love’s tumultuous seas, Destined by cruel fate, a woman’s love I will never know. Yet, I faithfully endure the hardship, waking each day to face the dawn, The pain in my heart, constantly sharp yet dull over time, For I know that the name of this vision sounds like the canary’s song, Wishing against providence, I dream that you would be mine. To see her eyes outshine the evening stars, her smile cast pale the morning sun, Know this, la donna più bella del mondo, you are in my heart second to none. | ||

| Those were great man!!! I like to read poems myself. Happy or sad ones. I read one the other day that I really liked. Teardrop If I could be anything in the world I would be your teardrop. To be born in your eyes Live on your cheeks and die on your lips.... For some reason that one got stuck in my head... | ||

| Well... I must admit... it's not bad! (positive remark)... I like to write my own poems as well... but they are all in my native language... Dutch.. my 'grasp of the English language is improving... but I DO need a couple of years..... "The Language of the Soul" might be "universal" but "translating" it into a foreign language... That's a whole different 'ballgame!... I'm very much a "sucker" for H.P. Lovecraft; Alone in space, I view'd a feeble fleck Of silvern light, marking the narrow ken Which mortals call the boundless universe. On ev'ry side, each as a tiny star, Shone more creations, vaster than our own. As on a moonless night, the Milky Way In a solid sheen displays its countless orbs To weak terrestrial eyes, each orb a sun; So beam'd the prospect on my wond'ring soul; A spangled curtain, rich with twinkling gems. Yet each a mighty universe of suns-- And all the universe in my view But a poor atom in infinity. This one just gives me "goosebumps"... Awesome!!! And a humbling expierience in all... I bow for the 'Master! TDR | ||
