I was always at the pep rallies my senior year as I was the drumline section leader.
And yes it is true what they say about drummers having lots of fun.

As for me, I am in high school I hate pep rallies, but I'm lucky enough to get out of them due to my VO tech is off campus.
But to show how discriminatory and lazy my school is, after they forced tech kids to go to these for the football season, then gave us the option to stay in a room for an hour and a half then go to the rally, then after having to deal with 50 kids for an hour and a half they said **** this and banned us from them, personally I saw it as a waste of time, and actually left school one day and wrecked my car while out, to avoid dealing with them. kind of backfired but id do anything to get away from our cheerleaders two words (fat, ugly) my schools spirit is nor lifted or better ever normally the kids donÃ‚â€™t even want to be thereÃ‚â€™s so much they skip school while the whole place is in the gym. Another thing, we have around 50 drop outs a year in a school of under 1000 people, and 90% of them are halfway thru there senior year, shows the brilliance at work(hey at least Joe Montana didnÃ‚â€™t drop out he would lost his whole career)

Our pep rallies ended when dozens of students pelted everyone on stage with untradable foods and miscellaneous junk, including a sneaker. That cheerleader went down hard.

I just had a pep rally last week!
Sir.Smoke.Alot just plain wasnt there and another friend tried to "escape" by hiding behind the stairs and running up when no one was looking. but he got caught.

We did learn that 3 students from our school went to New Orleans during their march break to help clean up... not bad
