Here we see two male Homo Sapiens attempting to court a female for mating. Watch as the two males compete for the female. Some males, like the one on the right, will show their masculinity with facial hair. Others like the male on the left will bare their teeth in a display of territorial marking. In courtship, the male will point his thumbs upward to show the female he approves of her as a potential mate. If the female approves of the male she will remove her protective layer of skin, sometimes referred to as "clothing" and display herself toward the male. This particular species has been known to mate inside vehicles, and if you approach a pair of Sapiens in the act of courting or mating it is strongly advised that you do not disturb them.

In other areas of the country sometimes male Sapiens will approve of their own siblings as potential mates, this is very common in the Southern United States and has been known to lead to possible birth defects.

Sapiens have been known to fight to the death over potential mates in courtship.
