| UPDATE 1: Samurai Experiments If you've followed "Samurai Experiments", I broke down and cracked into a box... Studyin' off my screen just isn't the same as being able to do it out of a book. I guess all in all, the experience has left me knowing in a pinch, a laptop could provide a helluva lot of power if I traveled more (not moved... traveled), but there are some things that a guy just needs to do the way he needs to do 'em! UPDATE 2: Linux Updates! The books I dug out were very THICK tomes of Linux lore... I'll be studying the crap out of it and gettin' back to ya'll with the good stuff. Someone asked me if I was looking to become PRs Linux Pimp... at this point right now, I'm not "There" yet... I'm good at making long-distance strides when it comes to education though, so I'm hoping I'll be worthy of the title soon. UPDATE 3: Certification! When PR first started, I did several "Certification" posts on what kind of certifications there are, how to go about getting them and other things... unfortunatly for my "Read" count... most of the people here at the time were all hard-core users... or they really weren't into PCs as a career. As the membership seems to include several "Up and Coming" PC Gurus, I figured a guide on how to get going might be in order once again! UPDATE 4: ARTICLE REQUESTS: For those of you who have requested articles on certain subjects, I have NOT forgotten about you... In some cases, I'm still gathering information, or I've tried to put the article together a few times, but it sucked (this was especially true for the DOS gamer in Windows XP as it spans a LOT of ground, and DNS Explained... which turned out to be WAY too dry.) UPDATE 5: News Break... I may be somewhat in and out next week. I've missed three days of work this week due to weather so I'm inclined to put in some overtime next week (and from I've been told we'll be making up a lot of ground next week whether I really wanted to or not...) I'll try to post where I can! Anyway, that should about cover the up and coming for the dojo for awhile. Tomorrow I'll be back to the normal posts, but I figured I'd let ya'll know whats going on! Peace. | ||

| I couldn't tell ya on the new stuff... I did the old A+ (DOS, 3.1 and Win 95)... Still... for good publishers that put out halfway decent study guides, I can suggest ExamCram (usually puts out some good stuff).. Cybex is an old standard... Microsoft Press puts out some pretty good books on occasion (although it tends to be very "Why we're the best" at times). Just remember the A+ is two tests. For the O/S test, you just need a basic overview of Windows (ME, 2000), Mac (I think it's still O/S 8 and/or 9) or Linux (kernel 2.4+). So if you're better with one than the other, you can pick which O/S you wanna do. | ||
