| This is a simple, five-question personality test to tell you what kind of computer you should buy. Answer honestly, and you'll find the machine that's right for you! 1. BUYING CHOICES: A: I like pretty colors... it's my deciding choice on buying a computer. B: I don't care what it looks like... as long as it works. C: I want it plain... then I'll mod the ever lovin' crap out of it! D: Hardware... Must have hardware to compile my kernel... 2. OPERATING SYSTEM: A: I like an operating system that is easy to use. B: I like an O/S that designed by an evil bastard, but runs all my games! C: Dude! Gimme any O/S... I'll tweak that sucka out! D: I like spending hours reading manuals, have little or no social life and I enjoy having to hack complex code to do simple operations. 3. System Power: A: I like power... but I'm not a serious gamer. B: Can I find a Black Market Processor for over 4 Ghz yet? C: Two Words.... OVER CLOCK! D: I need power... power to extract, inflate and install my /bin files out of my root shell... 4. LOGO: A: I like lame-ass multicolor icons... B: I like lame-ass multicolor icons... C: Dude, check it out... my splash screen says "Samurai Outside". D: I like Penguins and little smurf-like Demons 5. MOTTO: A: I switched from other hardware/software 'cause I didn't understand how to use it! I'm now really proud of that fact! B: Wish I had a catchy slogan like "Think Different"... C: "I can do better... where's my dremel?" D: I got my O/S for free... and I'm still legal... Nah-naaah, neh- nahhhhh, nah! TOTAL: Total up how many of each answer you had, then read the following: "A": You want an I-Mac... it's pretty, trendy and you can coordinate your attire around it. Still, it has room to grow with you, and the Unix base makes sure it's not a lost cause. B: You'll be wanting a PC. Not only is it a business machine, it cranks out the power needed for the bad-ass, processor-punishing games. Stability is probably a lost cause though... C: You're a MODDER! You'll probably write your own GUI interface regardless of what machine you get... people think your nuts, and they're probably right.. but they want what you got. D: You should probably go looking for Unix or Linux... or possibly FreeBSD. Your hardware powers your little world in which you weave archiac code and you can do crap that shames others long-time users. People wanna be you, but they enjoy things like "Outdoors" and "friends". IF YOU BELIEVE YOU'RE SOME OR EVEN ALL OF THESE CATEGORIES. If you selected multiple categories... you ALREADY KNOW what kind of computer you're buying next time! Why did you take this test... I mean... C'mon! ![]() | ||
