| Everyone gets nostalgic once in awhile. As we get older the times we get this way seems to increase. Maybe because we can look on things with better and clearer vision as to what they really meant to us. Maybe it is because we feel a need to reach back to the past. Or maybe just because we are stupid and wax poetic over silly stuff that no longer matters. Whatever the reason I think it is good to look back on times, things and places in your life. Remembering sometimes can be sparked by a song, place, TV show, movie, cars, etcetera. Today, I thought it might be interesting to have a sort of trivia stroll down memory lane. Finding things from various times in my life, and picked out some for you to identify. This is not a contest, but a chance to have some fun. So in the spirit of the idea please, no search engines. Then we can see who really knows their stuff. These are random items placed in no particular order. See how many you know, and I will post the correct answers later when we see who has eaten their Wheaties this morning. Q. Remember who this fat little guy is? This pudgy fellow could have been the original "Super Size me". He used to stand in front of a chain of resturants from 1936 - till the year 2000. My Dad used to take me there when I was a little girl. They had the best burgers and fries! Q. See if you can name the group and album name from this picture, and yes when it was released in 1977, it was released on album, and 8 track tape. My oldest sister graduated from high school the year this was released. Q. On October 9, 1996 there was a verdict returned in a criminal case. This is still one of the most famous cases known to the world. Do you know what case it was? Q. This movie though made in 1982, is still listed as the #4 biggest grossing movie of all time. As a bonus there was the skyrocketing sales the movie brought to the Reeses Pieces candy. Q. Many a laugh was shared with my family watching this ground breaking show. It was one of the first shows to feature an almost entirely African American cast. Who recognizes this theme music from the T.V. sitcom which first aired in 1972? Bonus points to anyone who remebers the main characters deceased wife's name. TV Soundfile Q. On the eighth anniversary of Kurt Cobain's suicide, this singer was found April 20, 2002 dead at 34 in his Seattle home, after having been dead for 2 weeks. The cause of death was a drug overdose, specifically a speedball. The group he was the lead singer for was and is one of my favorites. Q. In 1985 this was the first car to have the new Tuned Port Injection (TPI) engine, with 305 cubic inch V-8, which boasted 215 horsepower and 275 ft/lbs of torque. My first boyfriend had one of these. It was red and silver. Now remember no search engines, and good luck! Thanks for reading! ![]() In upcoming Daily Disturbance posts from me: * Games People Play * Social FoePahs: Got TP on your shoe! * Surprise! | ||

| I'm replying without looking at anyone else's answers and this is what I came up with... 1. Big Boy resturants. 2. Fleetwood Mac 3. Absolutely no clue, although I should. 4. E.T. 5. The Jeffersons, Wheezie (sp?) 6. Was it that Alice in Chains guy? 7. I'm gonna guess the Camero on this one...that was a popular car when I was in high school. O.K., going back to see how I did. EDIT: Aw crap, I missed a couple of them. The third question...well, Simpson was acquitted on the 3rd of October in 1995. Can't be talking about his civil trial because that didn't start until the 23rd of October, 1996. Missed the Sanford and Son one...heck, I've even got the mp3 theme song that I like to play. Didn't see the link to the .wav file or else I would have had this one in the bag. Last episode I watched of it is when they supposedly found oil in his junkyard. LOL! Wish I had some prizes to give away. So just knowing you beat all the rest, and they most likely copied your answers, will have to suffice for now. ![]() Nice effort Rob for not having looked at the answers! Now Highperf you should not feel old. Those things range from the 1960's - 2000's. Lots of ages in that timeframe. Otherwise it would mean I am old, too. Which I am not. ![]() | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Apex Master Tech Apprentice | Wow....I mis-read the trial question.... eh, so i took a LITTLE bit of help from Graaille, but gave him my props when i did! With the end of Star Wars upon us (movie wise anyways....), i have a little trivia for you: - Name any point, in any of the first three movies (CH. 4, 5, & 6), where Ewoks are called by their name.... - Bonus points: What was the reasoning behind using Ewoks in the jungle scene of Return of the Jedi? - And for Double Bonus: What was the original characters that were in the jungle scene? | |
