FUN THINGS TO SAY TO n00bs PLAYING SMART:

1. Did you know Integrated Graphics are good! I mean, if it's on your motherboard, it doesn't have to go all the way from your video card to the board, it's already there!

2. Wow... you were right! You CAN get a virus from your computer! I have Ebola... I caught it as a mutation of the Klez worm. *SNEEZE* I wouldn't stand so close, I should start bleeding out my ass any second!

3. Wow... Windows ME with AOL... You're cool! I mean... America's Favorite Software with America's Favorite Service Provider... How can you go wrong?!?

4. Did you know you get black paper from your computer? Just put in white paper and print off a sheet of black... it's really cool.

No... Ink's not expensive, and it last forever!

5. Oh my God... you're running your PC without a surge protector, an UPS, A voltage clamper, Monitoring Software OR a battery back-up?!? You FOOL! Get to the store this second tell them you need all of these!!!

(authors note: These are ALL the same damn thing if you buy a single, decent UPS unit)

5. Our computers have the same basic stats... Still, my computer is faster than yours... by a helluva lot... you wanna know why?

FUN THINGS TO SAY TO n00b MODDERS!:

1. I hard-wired my system! Those Molex plugs were a pain in the ass... so I stripped 'em all off, and attached the wires pin by pin to the components and drives. The motherboard power block was a real pain in the ass, but it was worth it! What... you haven't done your's yet? WHAHAHAHAHA! LAMER!

2. I got tired of fans, so I put an air-conditioner into the side of my case... It's cool... You should try it! My power bill is through the ceiling because the temperature sensor is on my CPU, but it's SO worth it for the bragging rights!

3. Cathodes and Neon are for sissies! I use a bunch of truck fog-lights powered off a seperate power supply. My whole living room looks like Las Vegas! Want me to tell you how to do yours?

4. Whoah, dude! You haven't upgraded your socket? You can get a lot more power out of your motherboard if you solder a new socket into the old one... it'll allow your motherboard to handle a bigger processor!

5. Overclocking is for those who don't have money. Just BUY a big processor... it'll be the fastest thing on the market without having to do all kinds of crap to your computer. Same with video cards!

That's nothing; I got rid of all the wires in my case by running a current through the body of the case itself. Of course, you have to get special rubber feet for your PC. The relatively low voltage means it's still safe to touch, though touching it slows the computer down a bit.

Speaking of voltage, I overclocked my power supply to put out 15V/7V. It's easier than overclocking each component individually. The downside is that the stronger AV output signals mean that you have to turn down your monitor brightness & speaker volume.

Open it, look for a fuse, and if it's blown, take it out, wrap it in tin foil and put it back in.

If loaded up everything I've ever burned off to CD... I could probably take this puppy up that far...

Still... I wish I had that kind of space! I got 190 gigs total... (two 80 gig drives and a 30 on my Linux (when I get the damn optical drive replaced) box). I can tap it all!
