It's been a year since I came on staff, and I've noticed a lot, learned a lot, and hopefully taught a bit...
In that time, I've seen a revolution, the country, and a lot of you guys. I've told stories, spun tales, fabricated lies and stood up for the truth. I forgot how to talk and learned how to write in a way that causes others to listen.
I've gone from spineless engaged wuss to single confident pimp, n00b to tech, reserved to bold, and quiet to loud. My skills have improved, my demeanor has changed, but one thing is still the same.
I shared it all with you guys.
I remember the things you didn't all see-Duck and Chrome with me on IM, calming me down after my fiancee left me, Lokie and ZENNZZO's constant encouragement, BA's quiet way of letting you know you're appreciated. I got to share in your joys, both personal and public, to carry your pain, and encourage your projects. In return, you did the same, with IM, PM, e-mail and phone.
We've seen a lot together, and I hope it stays that way for a long time to come. I'm learning more every time I turn a screwdriver, and everything I learn I try and pass on.
As I start my second year, I want to thank you all for letting me be staff, for letting me be your friend, and for letting me share in the site that is
PR.
