Smile KISS! - Keep It Simple, Silly!

You may or may not remember the post I made a few weeks back about getting healthy, but whether you do or don't, I thought that it might be nice to share some simple tips on how to do so. You might have heard some before, and there may be others you weren't aware of. Nevertheless, they're still important. Here goes..

Top 10: Simple Ways To Improve Your Health

1. When you first wake up in the morning, try doing a few stretches. Doing this can improve your circulation, digestion, and it can help ease back pain.

2. Make sure you're getting enough vitamin C in your diet. Fruits and vegetables are the best source, of course! (Cheesy rhyme not intentional!)

3. Showering or bathing in water that is too hot is not very good for your skin, as it will dry it out and cause premature aging. Warm water is your friend. While your skin is still damp, apply moisturizer, as your skin will have an easier time absorbing it.

4. If you've got a serious problem, ask for help. Letting your woes and worries stew all the time can have worse repercussions than you might think.

5. In addition to vitamin C, make sure you're getting vitamin A in your diet, as well. Good sources of vitamin A include dairy products, green and yellow veggies, mango, kidney, liver, chilli pepper, and many more.

6. Hot, spicy foods can trigger endorphins. As a result of endorphins being released into your body, your sense of well-being can be increased. (Maybe that's why I'm addicted to Thai food lately..)

7. They say that a glass of red wine a day is good for you. But, for those of you who can't have alcohol yet, worry not. Green tea and olives are just as good! Studies also suggest that these can help fight breast cancer, and that the antioxidants provide some protection from environmental carcinogens. Drink up!

8. Another way to improve circulation, and stave off lymph node infection is to brush towards your groin on your legs, and toward your armpits on your upper body when toweling off (after bath, shower, dip in the pool, whatever). Also, regular massages from a significant other or professional will work wonders.

9. If you smoke, quitting is the best (although hardest) solution to start you on the pathway to better health. Thanks to advertisements, most folks know the dangers of smoking like the back of their hand.

10. Rest is one of the most important tips I could give. Whether you need only 5, 6, or 8 hours of sleep a night, make sure you get it. Rest is a good healer for the body, and in adequate amounts can reduce heart-related and psychological problems.

That's all, for today, folks!

The tips in this article were provided with the help of ExtraMSN. If you'd like more health tips, Google is your friend.

Pffft, Tabasco is for pussies. Dave's Insanity Sauce, Da Bomb Habanero Sauce, or some of that Jamaican Hell Fire 4 in 1 hot sauce. Good stuff.

Letsee...

I tend to crank the hot water all the way over when I bathe... Some like it hot... although it probably from many, many years of freezing my butt off in cold climates. Since I hit Arizona, I've been moving towards colder water...

Past that, I'm not doin' too bad I suppose... well, 'cept I have a lot of stress in life which'll be what kills me anyway. Oh well!
