"Ode" to Plastikote

If you've been following Project Chickenhead you'll know the problems I've had with the Plastikote paints I've been using. Something that bad deserves a song IMO, so with apologies to Bacharach & David...

What do you get when you Plastikote?
A cruddy old primer that doesn't stick
The way it flakes will make you real sick
I'll never Plastikote again,
I'll never use their paint again

What do you get when you Plastikote?
A metallic topcoat that runs & splatters
A quality finish really matters
I'll never Plastikote again,
I'll never use their paint again

Don't tell me what is all about,
I've used it too and I makes me shout
"Why in hell's name did I buy this paint?
It would try the patience of a Saint!?

Ooh-ooh-ooh

What do you get when you Plastikote?
A clearcoat that falls off at the slightest knock
It's not like I used a hammer in a sock
I'll never Plastikote again,
I'll never use their paint again

What do you get when you Plastikote?
You get frustration, pain and sorrow.
So, for at least until tomorrow,
I'll never Plastikote again,
I'll never use their paint again

HAHAH nice work. Good way to use your frustration constructively. That is how I made PimpRig, btw... I hated my old job as an advanced internet support technician at Comcast soI would work on PimpRig while I was at work. I would just remote in to my home PC and work on stuff while talking to complete PC n00bs at work on the phone. My bosses never messed with me about it cuz I was the best tech they had. I fixed the problems that other people couldn't so I was able to get away with it.

i might write a song for poor wire management pictures posted in the gallery...

ive had good experiences with a blue flake plasti-kote , but i used rust-olium as my primer, and a clear coat made for wood. it was SO shiny.
do you think that its possible that its just the primers fault?

i was thinking about a candyapple red for my current rig, if you advise against plasti-kote the regular paint, could you PM me plz. i was gonna paint tomorrow. :?

Rad - yep, the primer is a big part of it ...

I won't be using plastikote again, & wouldn't recommend it to anyone

I love it Jonny, It's exactly as GK says, a great outlet.
Unfortunately I tend to take my own frustrations out on friends, I like your method better!
