Okay... so everyone has one or two things they want to experience before they kick the bucket, buy the farm, feed the worms, go into the light, get called home, or whatever other colorful analogy you want to use to describe the end of one's current state of being.

Soooo... here's mine.

1. Publish a book

2. Ride a motorcycle cross-country

3. Try SCUBA diving

4. Get through all the classics (books and/or movies if I have time)

5. Live in another country for at least six months

6. Get my freakin' black belt already!

7. Do something meaningful

8. Finish learning Japanese and maybe pick up French or Spanish

9. Go someplace tropical and "swim with the fishes"

10. Continue learning/experiencing new things until the end.

So, what is everyone else's?

Please note: The last four posts I have done have produced multiple responses of the same post... this is getting kind of old.

Here's my (short) list...

1. Publish a best-selling book.

2. Move to New Zealand...Christchurch, to be exact.

3. Become a teacher at a university somewhere.

4. Find a loving wife and adopt some children.

5. Visit Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Alaska, and Hawaii. Then I'll have visited all 50 states.

That's pretty much it. I've done quite a few things on my list already.

1. Get a new Harley and customize the crap out of it.

2. Get an old muscle car and stock the crap out of it.

3. Learn how to work on motorcycles and cars (probably should be higher on my list).

4. Buy or build my dream brick ranch house on some acreage with a massive game/multi-media room in the basement and a garage big enough to work on motorcycles and cars.

5. Get an RV and do a road trip at least two times a year.

6. Go to the Daytona 500 race on one of my road trips.

7. Take a cruise in the Northeast Atlantic and Pacific.

8. Make enough money to afford numbers 1 through 7.

9. Watch my children become successful in life.

10. Have grandkids and spoil them to the point my children hate to have me visit.

I've been fortunate enough to do things like swim nude in the Adriatic and Mediterranean Seas, ride a Gondola in Venice, Ski from Germany to Austria on the same mountain, ride a bicycle through Denmark, etc... Not bad for a hick kid from North Dakota.

1. Make enough dough to do 2-10.
2. Move to Tahiti, Bora Bora or similar to wake up to this view everyday.
3. Build a house where ever i choose to move. With a huge workshop, pool with ocean view etc.
4. Learn to SCUBA dive to learn more about this world.
5. Travel from place to place, without a plan where to go next.
6. Get a nice old muscle car (Camaro, GTO or similar) .
7. Rebuild No 6.
8. Be able to give someone a 10 000 dollar tip, just to see their facial expression (and off course to make them happy).
9. Somehow start a fund that would help feed hungry people in the world.
10. Write a book, published or not.

I've written several books (two sci-fi, three fantasy, one murder mystery, and several short stories... it seems to be the easy part. Attempting publication will give you a crash course on why your book sucks and still not give you a clue on how many changes it will take to fix it...

1. Cosplay once.

2. Finish a collection of the present series of Russian banknotes (I had four of five, but then they went and introduced two more-- with face values of ~$40 and ~$200!)

1. Be consistantly succesfull,cause this feast and famine lifestyle is wearing thin
2. Give my wife and kids everything they want,cause theyve been patient with me (see #1)
3. Help out those less fortunate than me
4. Finish my home machine shop, so I can create the plethora of things ive invented on paper.
5. Save the world from itself with wish #4
6. Buy PcApex and Rename it PimpRig ,again...
7. Master using MasterCam

-Build the **** out of my Probe.

-Ride Cade's Cove on a road bike (actually doing that toward the end of the year)

-Get a degree

These are in no Particular Order

1) Get My Masters degree in Electronics Engineering
2) Work for some electronics company for 20 or so Years, Then
3) When Im 40ish (maybe 50) Start a Independent Engineering Consulting Firm
4) Launch a Rocket into Space and Then Land a Robot On Mars Without Help from NASA or any other large rocket manufacturer. Amateur Rocketry FTW!
5) As I get older, There will be more things I wished I have done.
6) Participate in A great scientific Endeavor (or atleast Discover something amazing)
7) Go on a Road Trip
8) Get to a "normal" weight
9) Learn More about the world.
10) Educate the Masses- In theory, this would eliminate about 90% Of the Conflict in the world. People would think more deeply before they react, and take care of things in a cool and calm manner. Note I said 90%.

1. Go to college
2. Be 1 on the ORB for atleast one benchmark
3. Fine a Girl to be with
4. Own a successful company
5. Inform more people about overclocking
6. Ride my 84' Magna to Daytona beach.

If you like to freeze your arse off in the winter, that would be a good place to live... I live In Auckland, which is ok. but am a born an bred in Wellington, I want to move back to Wellington.

2. Be succesful in whatever I decide to do, probably something music related.

3. Pay for my Parents to go on a proper holiday.

4. Fall in Love again.

5. Learn to drive, I'm 20 and I still haven't learnt which is probably really bad.

6. Finish the album that me and my friend have been writing since 2005 (and stop covering The Smiths), hopefully we'll find a drummer too.

7. Pay off all my student loans...

8. Fight a Gorilla

9. I might want a kid or kids eventually, if No.4 happens.

10. Go into space?

Hmmm? Le'me thing on this...

1. Witness something amazing in my lifetime which would/could change the world.
2. Be part of #1.
3. At least visit the U.S of A for at least a month and go on a RoadTrip.
4. Emigrate to #3.
5. Have another child.
6. Witness some major cures being discovered for terminal illnesses. ( should be number 3 really! )
7. Visit Other countries/*worlds?* ( disc france and the states - allready been to france and well, I allready mentioned the states!! )
8. Be successfull enough to beable to give large ammounts of Wonga to those who need it!
9. Build/modify a Vw Beetle ( pref splitty or oval ) if not a Karman Ghia Ragtop.
10. Find out all the answers to the mysteries of life and the universe once I "cross over" ( or whatever happens after )

There's loads more but these are the main cats that bite at me all the time

11. Get so 1337 at Hl2 deathmatch that I will become a legend among gamers ( am i allowed a #11?? hmm? )

This is tough, partially because some of the things I would put on this list can't be listed on a family website....

In no particular order....

1. Get my financial life in order and make enough money doing a job I enjoy where I can live comfortably, provide for my family, be able to go on at least 1 vacation a year, and save for my children's college tuition and my retirement.
2. Get Healthy. Lose weight, keep it off and get in shape.
3. Travel (see item above about 1 vacation a year)
4. Be around to spoil my grandchildren
5. Have time to do the fun stuff in life
6. Make HardwareForHumanity into the non-profit I envisioned when I started it, not just the empty name it has been for the past 18 months.
7. Get season tickets for the Giants that I can leave to my son when I am gone
8. Attend the Superbowl, World Series, and Stanley Cup where my team wins
9. CENSORED

Family.
Writing career.
Skydiving.

Dude, I might be able to help you there. I have a 1970 Chevy Impala 2-door custom in my garage in North Dakota...

I warn you, it needs a LOT of work (body, electrical, suspension, motor, tires, you name it). It's been in my family for over 30 years. I don't think I'm ever going to have the time to take care of it. If you don't mind picking it up, I'd be willing to part with it pretty cheap I'm thinking...

While some of the above replies coincide with some of the things I'd like to do before my time comes, I have a couple others, and as some above, in no particular order:

Find a "career job" after the Army, and be successful enough to accomplish at least SOME of the following:

Go back to Brazil for a visit, see the house I grew up in, and the school I attended while I lived there... Take the family with, so they can understand why I'm as weird as I am...

Take my wife (and daughter) to Discovery Cove so she can swim with the dolphins (her favorite animal)

Take my daughter to Disney for her 5th birthday (this coming June)...

Be the type of father that is loved and respected, not feared and resented...

Buy and own my own house, free and clear...

Provide for my daughter's college education (she's going to FINISH college, unlike her old man so far!)

Raise / train a Golden Retriever and never have to give him / her away if/when I move

Leave my little portion of the world better than I found it...

Let's see...

#1: Live to 95 when I will create a huge scandal by impregnating my supermodel trophy wife.
#2: Finish setting up and expanding my shop where I can create one-off works of art, sell them and make beaucoup dinero.
#3: Own my own business and run it so well my peers respect me.
#4: Sic a mean dog on Michael Vick who will be staked down and his privates slathered in bacon grease.
#5: See all lawyers lynched.
#6: Hear the sound of my son's head popping out of his own ass.
#7: Watch the first human land on Mars.
#8: Have a computer and internet bandwith that works faster than I can think.
#9: Take a historical tour of the USA
#10: Win a Pulitzer prize.

And last but not least, when I die I want a simple ceremony. I'd like to be cremated, then have my ashes thrown in my ex-wife's face.
