| Hokay... I got excited to see "Hitman", but then noticed reviewers gave it a single star and the general discussion concerning it were that it was very loosely based off the game. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm getting used to being disappointed! Why the hell can't a director ever take a Video Game and keep the original plot? I know it needs to be flushed out a little, but let's face it... over the last few years, I've watched: Resident Evil (II and III as well): This series has won my heart for "bad" (I like horrible movies), but it took me months to get past how badly they "adapted" this one. The soundtrack in RE the game is eerie and subtle... in the movie, the harder the metal, the happier they were. I like the main theme by Marylin Manson, but c'mon... where is the moody piano music and the empty stretches of zombie-infested back alleys? That was more nerve-racking! VERDICT: Gee, they have some of the names right... DOOM: I'll admit, it must be tough to make a movie about a guy trying to survive on hell-infested mars... but c'mon! They could have tried a little harder to grasp the nature of "alone in the dark" style fear... VERDICT: C'mon, DOOM 3 had a storyline that would have made a good movie! SILENT HILL: Although I thought the mood on this one sort of matched Silent Hill, and the effects were pretty cool... the storyline went a ways off the mark. Of course, I've only played the first Silent Hill, so I don't know if all this came to light in the later ones or not. VERDICT: The director explained why he switched a guy out for a gal, but it seems a lot of the original direction of Silent Hill was lost. Unlike a lot of the others, he managed to capture a bit more of the nature of the game, but it was still hacked. Also, as I watched the movie BEFORE playing the game, I can say it might be one of those deals where my expectations weren't too high before I started... BLOODRAYNE: Don't even get me frickin' started... I loved the first BloodRayne (THE GAME). She was sassy, destructive and wasn't a so-wet-bbehind-the-ears-it-was-painful circus freak (ya know... like the movie). VERDICT: NO! BAD DIRECTOR! BAD! WORLD OF WARCRAFT (SOUTH PARK) The best thing ever. A TON of technical errors, but I thought the "L337" sticker on the "Guy with no life"'s computer was a nice touch and I laughed hard through the entire episode. I used to see that crowd when the newest edition of "EverQuest" came out and everyone needed a computer upgrade in my last job. VERDICT: Shweet. I know I'm probably missing a few... but damn! Anyway... back to my algebra final! Wish a guy some luck! | ||

| My biggest problem with the Hitman movie is that the guy the picked to play 47 looks like a freakin' *****. :< Holy cow it managed to get 11% on Rotten Tomatoes! | ||

YA RLY. They could have done a MUCH better job at the movie and stuck with the game storyline. They didnt capture the Real Doom (ie, the voices in the background, things randomly popping out at you...etc). And since when do you start out in doom with a platoon of marines?! Your a single marine going out and fighting..It would have been better if there was some type of accident were all your "buddies" got turned into zombies and you didnt. But I guess it would have been boring if the movie focused on one person...Still in game, you meet people along the way (who, btw, end up getting eaten, Killed, or turned into zombies)

| You forgot House of the Dead! Everyone loves a movie where they splice in crappy 32 bit game footage as though it were actually part of a movie which has an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT but equally crappy storyline. Best worst game movie ever, I laughed the whole way. | ||

Do I have to mention Alien(s) again? Ripley. Ripley. Ripley. Exosuit? And in regards to Timothy Olephant as Agent 47, Barf. Any of the following would've made a way better Agent 47: Jason Satham Bruce Willis Vin Diesel (Yes, lol.)

No They would've been horrible ![]() It would've been perfect if they would've used an unknown actor who fit the build, preferably an Englishman.

| I fear any movie with Uwe Boll's name attached to in.. Yet something draws me to In the Name of the King (which is a Dungeon Siege movie). Anyway, Game movies always end up cheesy for one reason or another. I really think they end up cheesy because we already have this image of the game that the developer gives us, then some movie writer tries to rewrite that story into their own interpretation, and completely screws it up. EDIT: Oh man Mario was the lamest movie ever haha Dennis Hopper as Koopa.. If the goomba goes more then 55 miles per hour.. it will explode! | I enjoyed Resident Evil movies, but they were nothing like the games... Doom again I enjoyed it but not like the game... I'll prolly like hitman and for the love of all that is good when they make a Halo movie they'd better stick to the story... | ||

Oh man, if you're gonna pull out the old school, what about Double Dragon and Mortal Kombat? EDIT: I agree with 4x0n regarding Hitman, a complete unknown would have been best.

| My god... I forgot all about Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. Those sucked so hard they had to pay royalties to Hoover... I'll blame repression on forgetting these two existed... Super Mario Brothers was so painful, my girl and I watched it a few months back for the laughs. I'll admit... I just forgot! | ||

| Mortal Kombat kinda sucked, but I enjoyed it. MK Annihilation was a hell of endless cameos. Street Fighter totally sucked, but I watch it once in a while to see Raul Julia as M. Bison. One of his last movies before his death. Last edited by Seyeklopz; 27-November-07 at 09:22 PM.. | ||
