| Hey gang, Sorry today's post is so late... ended up puttin' in an eleven hour shift, and ran errands all morning, so this is the first time my PC has been on all day. Now then, let's git biz-ay! I know for the holiday season, nothin' says, "I love you man!" like the gift of computer shiznit. So, I'm listing the TOP TEN gifts from the cheap to the l337. TOP TEN GIFTS FOR THIS HOLIDAY SEASON: 1. NETWORK CABLE TESTER: $29.99 (or up) For the Network Admin, there is nothing more frustrating than trying to figure out if it's the settings, the wiring, the Network card or the hub messing up the works (and for those of you saying check the LEDs, it can't always be done). Give the gift that keeps on giving! Save a poor bugger some gray hair! 2. USB Drive: Anywhere from $9.99 to $800 Yep, with a little USB drive, you can move files, music, and more around in your pocket. I've seen 64 meg Keys with rebate for $9.99, up to the 2GB keys at 800 bucks! Whatever your price-range, you're gonna have someone happy if they don't already have one! 3. DVD+/- RW: $150.00 to $300.00 Yep, the DVD writers have finally come down to affordable! Up to 4.7 gigs for those tired of burnin' CD after CD... 4. Hard Drives: Anywhere from $40.00 to $300.00 (non-SCSI, Non-External) If your friends or family keep whining about drive space, Hard-Drives are CHEAP for a lot of space. You can buy 80 gigs for around 90 bucks or lower! Figure about a buck a gigabyte, and you won't be too far off! 5.COMPUTER CASE: $20.00 to $400.00 Okay, so maybe you have a friend in need of a new pre-modded case 'cause he can't dremel a window kit to save his life. Add a red and green dual-color cathode, and it's time for the "Jingle Bell Rock" Mp3. 6. MP3 Players: $70.00 to $450.00 From a 32 meg wussy POS, to a 30 gig I-Pod, it's all good! 7. LCD Monitors: Anywhere from $400.00 (17") to $800.00 (21") and beyond, depending on how much you wanna spend... 8. Car MP3 player! $128.00 to $900.00 (the 900 dollar one comes with it's own 10 gig hard-drive... no kiddin'! Although after having a car stereo ripped off, I'd want an armed guard to come with that puppy) Yep, nothin' like an car stereo that plays MP3s. It's a sweet freakin' deal being able to put better than 90 songs per disc. Ever since I played with one, the six-disc changer in my trunk seems so "yesterday"! CHEAP BASTARD: 9. Case Badges For a $1.99 to $4.00, you can give a friend a personal statement. This isn't gonna be a big gift though, so ya might wanna tape it to a 12-pack of Pepsi (or whatever they drink), for an additional couple bucks and make 'em happy the got somethin' bigger. WHOAH! RICHIE RICH IS YO' BITCH! 10.Alienware Area51m Enthusiast Laptop: $2,800 to $9,305.00 (I said YES to everything for kicks...) Yep, if you wanna blow someone's freakin' mind for the holidays, give the gift of a mobile powerhouse. 11. EXTRA: You think Bill Gates lives on the po' side of town! Sun Microsystems "Sun Fire" Mainframe. $1,000,000.00 (come on, say it with me... One-MILL-Yun Dollars!) Hey, 90+ processors just don't come cheap! | ||
