I have to admit, this Revolution has been kind of fun... but there have been some concerns, and it's kind of time to get back to pimpin'... It's been kind of requested across the board from your friends at the PR staff that it's been going on long enough. Too draw it out more would be lame.

So here goes....


Yes...the whole revolution was BS. We're sorry if anyone got overly worked up, but PR has been pretty stagnant lately. Duck and I are completely cool, GK is still da man, and all is well with PR. "Demands" are not being met, there are still rules here, and it's time to start usin' 'em again.

As for PR 2.0, I'm imagining it should be up soon... but no... this wasn't a ploy to introduce it.

Aside from the fact a lot of us did have some fun (you guys made some really cool signatures short order!), there are still those few not getting that this IS fiction.

NO, we ARE NOT beating Duckwarrior with a rubber hose in 'Vegas. He agreed to pose for the pic, as this "revolution" involved Glitterkill and Duck, hell we got their blessing before even starting forward.

No wussy "making up" between me and Duck... we're cool, that's it.

HOW THIS GOT STARTED: One day KayinStorm and I were on MSM and he says to me...
"You know what would be fun?"
"What?"
"A Revolution!"

So the idea blossomed from there as we tossed out a bunch of crazy ideas. We spent roughly two weeks hammerin' like crazy to get this sucker out. Then when it hit, it kind of went about a thousand yards past our projections. We did NOT mean for PR to get this out of whack with this stuff.

Basically, we needed someone to "rebel" against... so we asked Duck and Glitterkill if it was okay if we used them. They said they were cool with it, then it kind of blossomed to where we'd have certain members of PR staff take one side, and the other as an internal war kind of thing.

One thing I didn't quite count on was how "vigorously" people chose up sides. I will however at this point refer to why I KNOW the points I made aren't gonna happen:

1. Nudity: If we included nudity, we'd be required to move the site to an "18+" audience... which would cut our membership by a half to three quarters.

2. Hacking: Do I know how to build a blotto box? Yep. Do I wanna teach someone ELSE how to build one? Like say an impressionable kid who decides it'd be something to do on a Saturday night and ends up with the feds crucifying him AND PR for showin' him how. Nope... I like the men and women of law enforcement, but it doesn't mean I want 'em on my doorstep! (well... unless it was a really hot policewoman with handcuffs... a tumble of hair down her shoulder... ... ... NEVERMIND!)

3. As for Staff pay (which WOULD be really cool), GK does make sure we recieve some perks for bein' PR staff here and there. He's actually a pretty cool guy when ya talk to him.

4. Okay, okay... so I WOULD like a PR theme, more emoticons (holdin' hopes for PR 2.0!) and it kind of annoys me works like c0ckpit, c0ckroach, and d1ck (as in the name, not the body part) are edited.

5. As for discussions on P2P, I'm thinkin' the admins really don't wanna become a breeding ground for controversial conversations. We mod hardware here... we also do some software modding, but we're not about Warez, File-Sharing and hacking. We certainly don't want the RIAA knockin' on our door! Those guys are out for blood! Also, most sites that get too deep into the Warez stuff get shut down.. and I know I don't wanna lose PR to that.

6. Jon and Kayin ARE staff, and have full access to staff forums... however, since they haven't been writing as long as I have, they still don't have their own sections. I'm imagining there WILL come a time

Anyway... I'm sure we all wanna get back to modding, bein' the big PR family we are and braggin' about our l337 skillz!

Well I am going to miss the revolution, it was so much fun while it lasted. It is just amazing that we have a site that is strong enough that the leaders and followers can take something like this and we can run so far with it.

I definetly agree that a few people took it a little to serious, but all-an-all I think that made it even more fun.!!!

Oh and one last thing - I would like to send my own thx to GK, DW and the rest of the staff for allowing us to have so much fun with this.

well my predictions were almost correct, we just didnt get PR 2.0. Was great fun reading all the goings on and everyones rebellion themed avatars were classic. Cant wait to tell my grandkids about the great Pimp rebellion of 2003!

Yeah we went to pick up GK Monday morn, that was the first thing off the plane"PR is Down". Then we headed to starbucks(the closest internet conection) so GK could work his mojo. When It was takin to long GK decided he had to have High speed. So off to my moms place.

Through the first few posts I read on Monday night (I too was away from my computer all weekend) I started to think WTF..... but after reading some of the responses like in the thread that DW called DS gay I thought something smelled fishy.
What sealed it for me was the whole thing between DW and Hojo. Let me put it like this: I have met more than a few a-holes in my day but it is kinda hard to imagine (although I admit it IS possible) that anyone would be that much of a d|ck in regards to Hojo's wife.
That is the main reason I kept out of the whole thing. I didn't want to get people pissed off for no reason (although I must admit that it IS fun at times) so I didn't post anything inflamatory or anything that would suggest I had taken sides.

It was fun and was I real happy the members suported the Revolution and played along. The sigs were awesome and showed how we all can ban together "just for fun".
