| Well, what has happened today? Boy, have I had a time. I saw SVC in person, and bought a full sleeving kit... I saw all of San Jose that you can see from the hills, saw the malls, got to see what the hell a Fry's really is... And, I have made a decision. I, KayinStorm, am going to move to California in January. San Jose has proven to be exactly the city I was looking for, and a little more. I didn't ride 58 hours thinking that this would be the greatest thing that ever happened and it would all be so easy... And, it wasn't the greatest thing ever and it's not going to be easy. I am, true, happier than I have ever been. And yes, I do want to live out here more than anywhere else I know of. But, I am going to have to bust my tail to make it work. Taz is such a great guy, he's a freaking riot, and he's the exact same person as in the forums. It's such a great thing to meet someone from PR, especially in such a setting. He's one of the best people I've ever met, bar none. It's been for me a learning experince, but Kayin is ready to settle down, get a decent job, and spend his nights modding and reading. I just want to do it in a place where I can be me when I go home at night, and have the actual opportunity to find a good job and a nice, small place to live. I'm not a really big person when it comes to stuff-two rigs, and clothes, and my books, basically. A single bedroom apartment is fine with me, even a really small one. I just need the change of scene and climate. This trip has done wonders for me, people say I look 19 again. I'm really looking forward now to finishing off Flameproof, and getting the pics up online. Of course, now I have to spend the rest of my time getting info for the job hunt across the country, but I'm good. I'll get it done. Everyone ask Taz what it's like having Kayin sleep on his floor. He likes that. | ||

| Good to hear Kayin. Im up here in Milpitas bout 15 minutes from SVC. I expected a bigger office the first time I went there, but they had all my stuff. Good luck settling here in the Bay Area. Things are great although a bit expensive (especially housing). Have fun bro | ||

| Kayin... sounds like the reasons for my exodus to Phoenix. I wish I could have brought more of my books ![]() Still, I'm thinkin' a one bedroom is the way I'm goin' myself. I was going to go studio apt with a cot, a laptop, a couple of books in a backpack, and try to live really spartan, but then I decided to be optomistic, and try to impress a lady somewhere along the way. Can't do that with a place lookin' like a reject from "The Professional" (for those who have seen the movie... my plant died. My dog ate it... which was odd 'cause it was a cactus) ![]() | ||

| yeah houseing is really expensive compared to washington. a small house in a development here that costs $400000 would cost more than a million around san jose. good luck in cali. i might have to follow the jobs down to there after college. if they havent moved overseas. | ||

| oi, like i said before, Cupertino is a great place to be. or sunnyvale, or san jose, but keep in mind, even compared with the rest of the area, saratoga is supposed to be *expensive*, so try to get as cheap as you can (meaning prolly not saratoga). hope my meager advice helps... | ||
