Default Unicorn PC

Work In Progress - Let me know what you think. I'm adding some before and after photos. I was not considering watercooling, but I am now.

dude I really like this case. cool sleek design outside and the color choice inside is awesome. and just like mark said, Cable management is wonderfull and couldn't be better. I thought it was going to be a girly case when I clicked the link but I almost wouldnt mind having this thing sitting on my desk.

,etch on the plexi goes great with the interior!

Default Thanks!

Thanks for the replies! I still don't like the big green capture card, but I won't part with it either. I'm looking for some suggestions. Can these things be painted on the backside or something to blend it in?

i nice heatsink would really set that case off. You can get a nice looking effective heatsink for cheap nowadays. a zalman 9500 would look awsome. good job wit the case i love it.

Small additions - I'm sealing as much of the case as I can just because and keeping the theme.

Actually not an etch, or plexi. One way glass. Vinyl decal. I chose the one way glass so the window is a mirror with the inside lights out and clear with them on.

Added covers to the drive bays this morning. Scratched one of them. Try to repaint later.

Added an AC 64 Pro and a 120mm top intake. Dropped temps by 10 Degrees Far. Moved some other items around and tried to clean it up some. Next addition is a front duct mod for the 92mm intake.

I have that same heatsink i abosolutley love it. It lowered temps by 10-12 degrees. U made a good decision buying that. Good job so far with the case.

Thanks! I'll be adding an intake duct to the front, hopefully this weekend. I guess I'm running out of mods for this thing. I still have one panel that hasn't been touched. I'm still contemplating an 80 X 10 fan on the left panel. I swapped panels from the left (Smooth and uncut) to do my window mod. The original panel has the 80mm fan hole cut in it with a grill from the factory. It wasn't even close to lining up with the processor. It also has vent holes drilled in it from the factory. I'm thinking about sealing up the panel and doing an 80mm fan blowing onto the rear of the mobo. Never seen it done and frankly I don't know if will make a bit of difference (or sense), but it should look cool anyway.

Added my fan duct today. Not easy cutting through a louvered bezel. In fact, it was a b___ch! I'm now considering doing away with the louvers all together. Thanks for the duct suggestions from the modding questions forum. This site is great!

I decided to try an EL Mod I saw here on the site. I still had the side panel which I haven't touched. It had the factory ventilation and 80mm blow hole. I swapped it for the blank side which I used for my window at the start of the mod. I decided to buy some EL wire and plexi and see if I could light it up after sanding it for diffusion purposes. I wasn't real pleased with the EL Wire itself due to it veing much lighter blue than the meteor lights, but I went with it anyway. I wrapped the el around each hole panel and used insuating tape to secure it (in case, no, when I decide to move it again). Let me know what you think.

One more quicky for today. I added a plexi floor replacing my plastic floor I had in prior. I sanded both sides for the diffusion factor and fitted. The pictures are overexposed. It's not quite as bright as the pics show. Actually comes out great with the mirrored glass window.

I really like this mod, the one way glass is an awesome idea. I have a suggestion if you dont mind.
It seems to me that every blowhole deserves an LED fan or atleast a shiny aluminum one.

Thanks! I want to do all LED Fans, but due to the one way glass, I really want LED that I can switch off to show the mirror effect. I'm going to post a thread asking if anyone knows where or how I can switch the leds on and off on a case fan.

Uhm, didn't work it seems. But you don't need to make a new post after you change your sig, it automatically changes for all your previous posts. Just a heads up.

I pulled my hard drives from the bottom cage and turned them sideways in the 5 1/4 bays. I'm waiting on two led fans that should have arrived by UPS today, but I went ahead and moved some fans around. I still need to trim out my fan tower, but let me know what you think. The two bottom 80's are pulling in from the tow 92's in the bezel. The 120 is fairly passive and only acts to cool the harddrives.
