Well hello my fellow pimps...and pimpettes and my mom.

Well after my current window for Twisted I have started my next window project. Wich is for my local computer store.

Well this pic is after I have drawn the wings of the dragon.

I am useing a piece of 1/8 plexi for this window.

Then I have started to cut the area, I wanted to paint, out.

The xacto knife is what I had used to cut out the drawing and also to hold down the edges of the sharp points, so they don't peel up when pulling the paper off.

This beats the hell out off masking the wings out by far!!

Next after all the design was cut out
I cleaned the area to be painted with acetone, to clean any residue off of the plexi.
Then, my little secret, put a couple of clearneon coats on to give the uv effect.

I'm useing clear neon white for the wings of the dragon.

If I had a little brother I'd trade him I really have nothing to trade ya, and not much mula. I do have a nice D-Link via rhine based 10/100 nic. Its old skewl pcb green I also have Mechwarrioir 4: vengence and black knight pc games, that I've beat several times..

after the three coats of crearneon have dried then I aplied three coats of dupli-color (silver green). wich was picked up at a local auto paint store.
The colors are limited but for 35 a kit you can't beat it.Ooops yes you can at a k-mart or wally world for 19.99.

Now the normal steps for applying this paint would be
Black primer
clear coat with glitter
clear coat to seal

But since we are working backwards I am using the plexi as the seal
The clear-neon as the special effects
The clear with glitter(shown here)
And last the black primer

This was done earlier this week. this is the body.

If you follow the threads you would notice I had cracked twisted's first window. So not to let it go to waste I trimed the edges and am using it in this project.

Love that serpent lokie, looks hella good. One question tho, whats a safe product to spray the mobo and compents with UV reactive crap? Ugh, can't think, been up for 30 hours...

I haven't tested the the resistance of the stuff. If there is none after drying( water based ) you could spray your board. I will look into it for you bro.

A single UV cold cathode for $25 CDN. It is not a bad price for a Canadian retailer, but it is a terrrible price over all!

Here is a high quality 12" UV CC for $7.99 USD. It comes with a Dual Inverter, which means you can hook two lights up to it. At the same site you can get a second 12" Lamp for $3.50.

Total $11.50 USD = $16.00 CDN for two lights instead of one!

They don't ship to Canada, so you would have to get someone to order for you and send it north to you.

If that doesn't appeal to you, here is another that does ship to Canada:

ScorpionMods 12" UV CC for $14.50 USD.

Further down the same page there is a Dual combo kit (2 x 12" lights with dual inverter) for $18.50 USD ( $25.50 CDN).

SVC has an impeccable reputation, but you do need to count on your friends to order the stuff and send it to you. the also have many other great products at cheap prices (way cheaper then most online vendors!).

The guy who owns ScorpionMods sold cathodes out of the VH Forums for ages ....... the lights were great, the service a bit shaky! The storefront is fairly new.

I just placed my first Scorpion Mods order, so I will soon let you know whether or not I am pleased with their customer service. The reseller ratings have been mixed, but there are less than ten reviews.

OK.... after a night of drying and a morning of carefully peeling the paper off. the wings are done and pre assembled with the 2 other layers of the window.

Well since he is a friend and not retailing we can do anything we realy want.....

He has been a superman fan ever since he knew who he was. So we will do a quick little superman window for him....

In this pic the logo is backwards since I will be painting from behind.....please note the carbon copy paper behind to be traced out from the logo....
