| I found an old A-Open case laying around. Very unnatractive. I had an extra acrylic dome from a robotics project I thought I could attach the dome to the open side of the case. But first, I needed blowholes in the top. Rather than remove the top, sand it down, and put fifty eleven layers of paint on it, I just turned the case upside down. I had to remove the serial number sticker, hope I don't void my warranty. Last edited by joecoin; 07-November-05 at 07:20 PM.. Reason: Adding more content | ||

| The final use and end result? Heck if I know, I just make it up as I go along. "Bubble Boy"??? No no no, "Project : Alumidome". Aluminum plus Dome! Yes, the inside view is grossly distorted, looks very cool. Etch the world map? Hmmm, not something I'd be comfortable doing. Which view of the world were you envisioning? | ||

| The bubble would give you enough room to install a kinetic light sculture that activates upon hard drive activity. You could utilize the Dragon Meter: http://www.dragonmodz.net/product_in...242851e1bacd59 Maybe even some movement...a circular sculpture that rotates and flashes the LEDs when the hard drives activate. Seriously, it's different, and It'll be interesting to see where this project goes! | ||

| So here is the concept, I need to butcher (I mean cut down from the backside) some more ports, need a parallel, SVGA, 2 USB, 2 PS2 and 3 audio ports to attach to the plate. The idea is to make it appear as though all these functioning ports are on the front. Won't you be surprised when the CD tray slides out when you're trying to plug in your camera? | ||
