I've seen this theme done before, but who cares?! lol

This will be my first project ever haha and all comments, ideas, suggestions are welcome. Also any help or tips offered are very welcomed since I am new at modding.

This will be a mid/low end computer since I only have $100 to spend and I will just be using it as a HTPC, (need video out only) so the hardware that goes into it isn't high end. The computer I'm using now is fairly high end though!

Specs:

Case: Cooler Master Centurion 2 Black

Athlon 1.2 Ghz Processor (From H3LLS4WN)
PC Chips Socket A mobo, I know they suck but I needed a cheap red mobo.
Radeon 7000 (Red pcb)
(NEED 266DDR RAM if anyone is willing to give then PM me)
Optiplex CD-RW Black
Arctic Cooler HS/Fan
Seagate 40Gb HD
Antec 430W PSU (From dreoblek9 thanks!)

The PCB's are red to follow the theme on the inside of the case

Mods:

Custom Fan Grills
Dremel out fan holes in front and back
Dremel out a window sand edges smooth
Paint chasis Duplicolor Metalcast RED
Custom etching on window
Sleeve the Antec 430W with Vantec Black sleeving kit
Cut out plexy to fit onto bottom of case use adhesive spray and pour sand onto it then clean. Place empty shell casings onto sand for a just fired effect hot glue them and not close to mobo, purchase a .45 caliber gun (plastic) and place next to fired shells.
Raise Plexy 1 cm to make room for wiremanagment trap door dremel out places for wiring.

As i love Trigun and Own the BOX dVd set. i am looking forward to seeing the outcome of this. if you would be so kind as to tell us, what are yor plans other then the revolver to make it Vash(ish).

what i think would be nice would be a flake red and a gloss finish, but other than that looks ok so far

I'll be making 2 or more 80mm fan grills which will be custom made from polymer clay, I've been having trouble with this lately. They will say TRIGUN in the middle, grill will be painted a glossy black and the letters will be painted in red.

Custom etch on the window will be of this pic, I have a larger one on my HD I'll be using KayinStorm's etching techniques. My Project:452 acrylic mouse pad etch was just to test out my etching skills

Will try to paint the revolver silver, I've only seen black on it and then add a molded revolver to it since I couldn't find any other plastic gun with such a long barrel like the one Vash uses.

I may do something with the outside once I get better ideas that'll match the trigun theme. Someone did tell me to use red velvet to line the inside case instead of using Metalcast Red but thought it may be a heat issue.

Question Should I paint the back red too? Or leave it as is? It'll be painted after I finish the fans. Thanks guys! Also I am leaving the mobo area unpainted since no one sees it and I don't think I'll be doing a window mod for the other side

Just dremeled one 80mm fan hole in the back. Since I haven't slept since yesterday morning my hands started to get shaky. I will need to wait until I'm rested AND get my toolbox back from my bf's house since its being held hostage there. It contains my metal file which I need to use for the jagged edges I may purchase a fan grill today for some modding potential...anyone know of a good retail store that sells them?

I'll be heading out today to Home Depot and CompUSA, for more metal files and 2 fan grills. Would rather not buy them from CrapUSA though but I don't know of anywhere else close by that sells fan grills. (Not Wire Grills) Let me know

Do you plan on etching that entire picture into a window?

Yes I do Cl0uder I have the pic in black and white though so I could do it easier. For a 3d effect like KayinStorm did, I'll be using slower rpms for light areas, higher rpms for darker areas and of course depends on the pressure I use. I used to use 5.0mm pencils all the time with the lead about 4mm out of the pencil (never knew someone who borrowed my pencils that wouldn't break the lead that way) so I have a light touch I guess so the areas needing more depth/deeper shading will probably be my weak point.

Forgot to add that the original pic I have is 300dpi and 15"x17" I'll need to change those settings around though.

do you plan to simplify the image. perhaps just etching the black or white...it would cut down on the work.

Probrably not do the shadow that is casted on his face. His hair may be tricky, and the gun, the other areas no so much. I will focus on mainly black area for the etch. So the hand holding the gun may need multiple depths / rpm settings for etching.

yah, I do. i got the whole box set for a heck of a deal too. but besides the window etching on one side, the red paint, and the revolver. what else are you going to do. are you going to do te trigun logo at all? if you want this to be purely a Vash case then disregard this idea. how bout you do one side vash and one side knives and the paint coud shift from red (Vash) to black (Knives) kinda a good versus evil thing going on.

LoL purely Vash Trigun grills are just something I added inase someone has no clue who the etch was about on the window. Your idea was really cool, would like to see done one day! I've got $ constraints right now and can't really buy more stuff.

well if they dont know who he is then they're just not 1337, LoL. i had an idea for fan grills, do doubel revolvers the cross in the middle. make one black and one silver.

what if you incorporate vashs angel arms into it at all?

Where did you get it and did you at a resonable price? I want it, but its like $175 on amazon and thats rediculous for 26 half hour episodes. Oh, and pref not a bootleg. I feel slightly guilty about that, although my cowboy bebop set is a bootleg, but i bought it off amazon.

LoL true everyone should know who Vash is! I did discuss the 2 X revolvers with DuplexEmotions a while back, I opted out of it since I can't really sculpt lol definately would be cool if I had the skillz!

Here. Its basically the 6 DVDs stripped down and cramed on 3, the quality kind of sucks. lots pixelation on busy stuff like gate scenes, but for only $30... I bought the best sessions though, and those are great, they redid the sound in 5.1 surround.

Ah so that "you get what you pay for" holds true. Still cool though. CowBoy Bebop rocks! I like vae she's cool. I also love Inuyasha, sadly more so than Trigun lol. But Vash is just hot, something about a guy with that big of a revolver turns me on! Just kidding!

I only have 250grit wet/dry automotove sand paper on hand, anyone think I can deal without the metal file first and lack of dremel bits? I want to get those fans done! haha
