Nice to see those doors coming together(no pun intended). If anyone's interested, Custom PC in UK has benchmarked the mid-range Phenom against the Core 2 Quad Q6600. I know it's early days with drivers, Bios and mobos but it doesn't look to rosy for AMD. I hope i'm wrong as we
all know what will happen if AMD don't pull some cash in soon.

yea, but I have to admit, I was more excited knowing we would get the ATI CrossfireX for this project.. it's just so over the top "in yr face" cool ...lol

Well, i have to say it's the case you're building that'll make this more than just another step on the crazy evolutionary ladder of the PC. Whatever happens to AMD, at least your case will be something never to be outdated at the whim of the market strategist. Let's be honest, it'll prob

Look, I am no graphic artist but here is an idea...any castor has a relatively excessive height. Why not counter sink them?
That case is a tall mother, and I don't think it will be beneficial to increase the height even more

Thank you Jux. The hardware will always change while case designs can be timeless.

I was really lucky to have met Craig. Hes pushed me to new levels. I've learned so much from him. I'm already getting antsy to start another project with him

Very nice Peter. I liked those castors as well.. No room for the recessed cups in the chassis floor tho, unless we raised the bottom with a hollow floor. I'm afraid we don;t have time to execute something like this, we still haven't started the top panel and commited to the bezel design yet, and with less than a few weeks to finish.. (heavy sigh)

Yesterday I did hear a rumor that AMD may push the Phenom launch back, that would be nice for us tbh ...lol

btw: Have you contact me via email at one time? just curious... I've been contacted by so many more Modders from SA these days. I have to credit DJV with that. It's been great meeting you guys!

I know you are pushed for time but i reckon cat tracks of some sort would look the dogs dangelies on that Space-age mod. Maybe off a scraped snow bike or off a kids toy(if it looked good enough).

Got me to thinkin', I know yer hard put to it ta finish but you could alway get plain casters and do up some kind of cover or cap/hubcap to match the case theme

Modding has been in existance for some time here in SA and Dae, amongst others, has managed very well to bring this pastime into the spotlight and make it popular. For this he certainly deserves credit . (Not to mention that he has a talent second to none on our shores!)
But I was actually introduced to your work by my good friend MRMOBEUS, while I was searching for a way to get rid of static charge on PERSPEX. As you know, one thing always leads to another!

I might be speaking just for myself, but imo, we are a mod-starved bunch of people who are forced, out of necesity, to be original and creative with obstacles regarding modding which come our way.(it is a known fact that some things are just a tad too costly to import)

Anyway, the pleasure is mutual. Your work is inspirational .

My theory is that AMD is still trying to get their bearings in order after taking ownership of ATI. My experience with dealing with AMD is serious lack of communication and awareness. A lot of inner dept politics are at play when companies merge. Undoubtly the new combination of talent in AMD's R&D dept will produce cutting edge hardware, but it may take some time.. The vibe I'm also reading on that some reputable sites were pissed AMD wouldn't send out samples to test. Instead, they hosted a press junket that writers could attend and watch demos by AMD's R&D staff. Granted, theres bugs to nail out on any new product, but this feels so unprepared.

I read this too , and read on one site **forgot which** , the reviewer didnt even go, and wouldnt do any write-up on the new cpu's because he wasnt gonna write about something he couldnt test independently , not under AMD conditions.

Them Casters are bad azz , but I'm bettin you *Bill* could out do them with little effort.

I'm actually focusing on finishing my portion of the Nano Toxin project I'm doing with Stu King from kikboxes. The sooner this and the AMD project is finished, the sooner I can start on a Evel Knievel Tribute PC I'd like to build for the shop wall.
