| I like how he done that... but.. I am not sure your going to be as fortunate with the PC P&C supply... its got A LOT of cables as I am sure you know... including not 2 but 4 PCI-E connectors.. If you do this I would be interested to see your end results as it will be a nice challenge to get all that behind the motherboard side panel and still be able to mount the door hehe... I am still not sure what I will be doing with the wiring on Jaded (I am assuming I will be doing the wireing) Not even sure what PSU lokie has planned for it yet.. | ||

Man your so right about that Twizted when you say it has lot of cables, i am not sure i might be able to hide those cables on the back side of the mobo panel if i lay them out flat and tape them down, i just need to see how big of a hole saw i would need to at least get them to the back side of the mobo panel. I do no there will be a lot of the wires i will not be using so i like to hide at least those cables not being used, the only other thing i could probably do is make a hole for the cables that are not in use and hide them behind the mobo panel and leave the ones that will be use exposed, but run them along the bottom of the case along the mobo back side panel over to the side of the drive cage if they will be long enough to do which it should work as these cables are pretty darn long.

| Sorry to those of you that have been waiting for updates. My life took me by the balls and took me for one hell-of-a-ride, due to allot of life changing circumstances everything was put on hold. I can honestly say I do feel allot better after the dust settled (those of you that know will understand). Fighting daily battles wore this man (checks to make sure they are still there....yeap still a man) down and life has been rough. It's far from over but for me I know I have to move on....and move on I shall So what have I been up to, oh a little of this and little of that when I should have been dong allot of this and none of that....and no I don't drink or do drugs. I am talking about prioritties....bla bla bla I know I know, get on with the updates already!!! After some thought I changed the base. Well the base is now going to be a 5 layers of acrylic (smoke, clear, smoke, clear, smoke). I had to do something to accent the bright light in the base but to phase it out a bit. ![]() Also finished the cut out of the second piller....another pain Which will have frosted inlays with a dual dragon meter gong up.![]() The lower half of the window will have our diamond mesh to add to the all angle effect of the antec 900 case. ![]() I cut the first blade to use as a template for the front and photoshop the rest to decide the length of the others. ![]() ![]() the logo/drive rail cover is cut and test fitted. ![]() To my friends: Thanks for stick'n with me through these past couple of months. | ||

| HEHE, we have sold this product for years and I till this mod have never used it. What am I talkin about? Our DragonMesh, don't get me wrong this is not a sales pitch...... OK, there is a gatewatch 2 that will be located in the lower section for the tower. I dumped the gay magnifying glass thing and Twizted changed the LEDs from blue to Green to fit the theme....not to bad. ![]() Now the stock front has a oval mesh over the bays. This doesn't fit with the theme of course so what to do about it? *shameless plug for DragonModz DragonMesh here* Enter the wonderful use of DM DragonMesh. Granted MNPCTechs modders mesh has a good purpose but it's steel. DM mesh is aluminum and to my surprise very easy to work with. Here is the placement for the gatewatch... ![]() Trimmed mesh ready for test fit. Thin flush cut snips worked great for the rough in. The yellow disk is 180 git sandpaper that is stuck to the bench. Final fitting is sanded down keeping a nice straight edge. ![]() ![]() I started to use the flush cuts again on trimming to the cover but the material was distorting to much for my taste. SO I finished the rough in with a dremel, using a cutoff wheel and sanding drum. ![]() ![]() The use of mini clamps worked really well to help hold the mesh while forming to the cover. ![]() ![]() After bending the mesh into the slots on the sides, the flush cuts make quick use of the excess and all done with the forming. ![]() | ||

| last left you all with the start of the top blades. I finished the 3 long ones to go on the ends and down the middle. ![]() ![]() Next would the 2 shorter ones to leave room for 2 bulgin switches. ![]() ![]() With those out of the way I next started on the LCD bezel. A one piece 1/4 smoked acrylic to accent the edge of the LCD. ![]() ![]() Not wanting the inside edge to be just squared off, I went ahead and beveled the edge. ![]() ![]() The door blades will give you an idea what the rest will be looking like. I will have the 2 on the edge with partials in between to flow with the rest of the blades. ![]() ![]() | ||

| This is what you missed today Ranger. Filled the top of the front with a piece of 1/4 acylic as well as the bottom but added a inbweetween clear layer for lighting effect. The side pillars are roughed in as well.... Done list: Front fabrication is done. Top is done... Left side panel is done.... To do: Finish LCD bezel fab... Inside cover... Base...(Sometimes I really regret my ideas) Paint... Assemble....then done. | ||

Now *THAT* is a great idea! I've been wondering what I'm going to do to hide the drive bays from my over-large window, and I don't feel like making a whole new side panel. Good job!

| How's the thermals for an embedded LCD like this? I'd be a bit worried it would be in a poor-airflow zone, pumping out 40 watts non-stop, and baking itself slowly. My dream take on the built-in LCD theme would have a VESA mount on a ball-joint, so you could attach whatever LCD you wanted, and not be stuck the angle that fits parallel to the rest of the case. The sad thing: No matter what you do with a 900, you can still tell it's a 900. That's half the reason I hate them so. | ||
