Are you going to use a premade PHP like PHP Nuke? If you are it is pretty easy to setup and installation takes only a few minutes. I have set up a couple of Nuke sites. Lemme know if u want an install tutorial.

PHP and SQL are not really beginner friendly.

I'd suggest learning about it 1st before trying to throw an entire site up based on something you cannot maintain.

I mean, I guess thats one way to learn, but spend a lot of time on forums dedicated to PHP and SQL stuff and you should learn as you go anyway

As Cpt. Planet says, installation of PHP-Nuke is pretty simple. They have a full guide on their website (www.phpnuke.org, I think)...

The MySQL is for the database. Your web server will have to support PHP and MySQL for your site to work.

I've set up a few of these sites as well. If you're still having trouble after reading the installation guide, and you have some specific questions, feel free to ask
