Does anyone know any good guides to creating an active server page. Witch office product is better excell or access.

You mean you're creating a web application using Active Server Pages, and you want it to read from a data source such as Excel or Access? In that case, go with Access; it's a "real" (albeit entry-level) database app that should give you more flexibility and power.

Active Server Pages is basically Visual Basic for the web. You looking to use ASP or ASP.NET? My favorite resource is http://www.4GuysFromRolla.com, and they have links to other good sites too.
