For anyone that has played the original Red Alert and always wanted to play it again on your XP system i got the free released version right here with mods and Aftermath.

like Doom, Duke3d, Descent 2 and 3, worms armageddon, this is a game that finds new life about once every year for me

This is the one that got me hooked on RTS games... Too bad my machine is way too fast for it now...

(A64 3500 Winchester, 6800GT)

The game itself runs fine, as long as I slow GAME SPEED down to tolerable. SCROLL SPEED, however, is still too fast for me to keep track of, even at the lowest setting. Any ideas or fixes?

I remember Red Alert...shoot, Command and Conquer was the game that brought me back to computers after I got burned out on the Bard's Tale...

Man...I'd like to see an updated version of Bard's Tale.

Yea I've been looking around to find a way to fix the scroll speed but have yet to find anything useful :S

i had found a way to fix that at one time.....one way i think i did was just downclock my pc violently to the lowest setting. Worked good for me

I believe they did do a new release of bards tale. it has rather funny commentrary. altough as soon and you zoom back out to play, you lose all personallity gained when the story to telling itself.
