| Post your stories or comments that just really don't pertain to anything else here... Over at the CoH boards, I found a thread asking how I like to 'tank'. Here was my response.

| heh i have a team of 3 trollers that i use to just tear apart all the mishes. heh can't do that with a scrapper or tank (haven't tried it with kheldians yet but probably same problem). so far, i got 2 fire/kins and an earth/rad. gonna try out different troller and def combinations to see how it goes. i'm also about to start up my 4th account tonight ![]() | ||

Well, let me tell you. If you get two or more controllers with the right powersets on the team in the post-I6 environment, you feel pretty useless if you're the tank. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Yeah, controllers are insanely powerful nowadays. So much so that all the idiots are making controllers now, too. They don't understand team tactics that well, locking down a mob before the tank draws aggro...turning on hurricane right after the tank gets the aggro...not controlling their pets, which always love to start in on the next mob before you're finished with the current mob. Maybe I'll roll a controller. | ||

| Someone bought an account of off e-Bay the other day and was in PI asking how to fly. Someone replied in broadcast channel "You have to jump and press down the F key at the same time and hold it down". I laughed my butt off for about five minutes seeing this toon jumping around the Portal Corporation courtyard, complaining that he couldn't get it to work. ![]() | ||

| I was on the test server a few minutes ago checking out the new PvP zone and on my way there through Atlas Park, I switched over to the global channel to see everything going on and I seen the following chat from an NPC..... Activist: Put a monorail in Founder's Falls! Come on, people! Petition! :geek: | ||

| Sigh....I'm just so sick of the CoH boards. Anytime that you post something that isn't correct, you've got dozens upon dozens of people responding telling you that you were wrong in a very rude way. Think from now on I'll just check out the Dev Digest and the Training Room news....it just really sucks over there now. | ||

| One of the most prolific MMORPG companies in the world looks to be having bigger troubles than many have imagined. The NC Austin office total employee count is down to 230, from the 300 it was a few days ago. It is currently unknown exactly who were laid off, but it's known that some key members inside the company are no longer there. http://techgage.com/review.php?id=5265 As far as a drop in the subscribers to CoX, all i can say is that they brought it on themselves (yes, i'm still bitter). | ||

| I briefly saw something on it the other day but CuppaJo, Arctic Sun, and Cricket are still over at the CoH boards. I've only got two words to explain why this happened....Auto Assault. I was invited to the Beta and had a chance to play it for a couple of hours before I uninstalled it from my hard drive. The premise of the game is so incredibly stupid that I wondered why in the hell they were going forward with it and was very vocal in expressing my distaste. | ||

| Had something really funny happen this weekend while I was in Recluse's Victory. Was sitting there at a Heavy terminal, activating it, then releasing it so another would spawn, rinse and repeat. They have badges for controlling 10 Heavies, 50 Heavies, and finally 250 Heavies. I had just earned the first one when three villains jumped out of nowhere and started to take me down. I didn't even fight back 'cause it's easier when your dead to take control of the Heavies (no one bothers you...simply right-click and select Interact). Anyway, they get me down to about 1/4 health when all of a sudden, a stalker comes out of no where with an Assassin Strike and takes me down. The whole team jumps off to find other heroes to defeat but this stalker decides to just stand there and make fun of me. He begins to do the face slapping emote standing over my body...in the meantime, I take control of the Heavy, set it to "Attack My Target", and I targeted the stalker....all the time, the stalker's back is to the Heavy. BAM!!! The Heavy takes out the stalker with it's Alpha Strike and kills him in one shot. Total silence. Didn't hear another word out of the stalker but I was laughing my butt off as he had to mediport back to the hospital bay. BWA-HA-HA-HA!!! | ||

| I was just reminded again why I hate PvP... Popped into Siren's Call to see if I couldn't get a few Toxic Tarantulas before going back to the healing farm. Found one, took it down, seen another, and skipped it (conned purple). So, I made one round and seen a couple of villains taking down some NPCs. Landed pretty close to them and did the /wave emote. They pause for a couple of seconds, then all three of them start attacking me. I just stand there for about two minutes, then I start doing the flex emotes. After a few minutes of that (and the most they got me was down to half-health and I popped a green), I grew weary and decided to go back to the healing farm. Right before I leave, I see them talking smack about me...comments such as, "Not so tough when your power runs out, huh?" and "The heroes are running from us!". *Sigh* PvP brings out the worst in most people and it seems a large majority of those people are on Freedom. | ||

| The latest crap going on over at the CoH forums is people blandly tossing around the word, "exploit". In short, if they think that you shouldn't earn the badge, then it is an exploit. The latest hoo-haa is over the Reformed/Villain badge. To earn this badge, you need to defeat 1,000 Longbow. If you are a villain, you have the "Villain" badge and text. If you are a hero, you get the "Reformed" badge and the text that goes along with it. Well, unless you have a villain friend who is a Dominator with Confuse, you really can't earn this badge since Longbow are hero-friendly forces. A few days ago, someone made a post in their badges forum asking if the jail doors found randomly on a specific Warburg timed mission map still count. They do, by the way, and I've been busting my butt trying to get it. You get the map randomly, meaning that you could get one mish with doors, then the next seven without. The way to farm the doors is to rush in to the room where they are at, take them down, exit, reset mish, enter again. Hauling butt, you can average about 80 doors an hour. Oh hell, you should see some of the comments over there. They are calling it an exploit and yelling for the Devs to remove it from the game, saying that anyone who gets it is disgraceful. Give me a break. I could go off on a major rant here but I'm not. | ||
