| For you badge hounds, there's an exploration badge in the tutorial section. From where you start, go up the stairs to your right to the third floor. Cell #15. Not sure if there are any other badges in tutorial yet, but i'll post them here if I find more. edit: just to let you guys know, we currently can't get out of the tutorial since the first mish is broken . .. edit2: mish finally fixed . .. took them 45 minutes | ||

| Yeah, I remember some review I read that said you can get a badge in the tutorial. Not a defeat all, but an exploration. If you don't know which one Enko is talking about, go up to the third floor on the stairs behind you, then all the way to the opposite end cell. It's called the Jailbird, I think. Logged in with Ammon-Ra on CoH this morning and whola! Got another 17 badges right off the bat without doing anything. Apparently, I've "unlocked" the Gladiator aspect of the Arena.....great, more PvP content. Guess that whole "underwater world", airport, and an odd-dozen other new content zones that the Devs were working on took a backseat to CoV and redesigning the game into a PvP to corner that South Korean/China market. But....you know what? Jack f*cked up big time. Why? There is no reward system in place for the PvP zones. The South Koreans and the Chinese aren't going to give a crap about the PvP of CoH/CoV because there is no "loot" to be won, which has been the downfall of World of Walking, or WoW, where they do nothing but gank other toons for their loot. Rob P.S. Oh, vidiotmaps.com has a listing of the new badges. Don't know if he's got the CoV zone maps up yet, though. | ||

| Vidiotmaps has got the maps up for CoV now, along with a badge listing. The badge listing isn't complete, though....still missing some of the requirements needed to get the badges. Oh....as of now on the Freedom server, a stat search shows that villains are outnumbering heroes on an average of seven to one. Step two in the demise. Rob | ||

| Man, isn't it a shame? I really used to enjoy the heck out of CoH. I still hit the CoH boards daily, but aside from the Sunday that i logged on and ran the Praetorian arc with you, i haven't logged on. For me, i5 and ED = the joy is gone. Aside from the whole i5 and ED implementation fiasco ( "Read my lips: No New Nerfs"), one of my biggest gripes is that it slowed down gameplay. In my experience, Nyte was the fastest gameplay/leveling toon that i had. When the serious nerfs hit, they affected the speed with which my other Scrappers (Nyte included) could go through the story content. For me, that was pretty much the last nail in the coffin. Prior to i5, my scrappers were a very happy cross between a FPS and an RPG (speed of play), and i really enjoyed that: I though that Cryptic had really been on the money with the melee classes (Scrappers in particular). Thats not to say that i thought the game was perfect, i just really enjoyed being able to log on a toon that (with the correct build and strategies) could mow through missions. If i buggered up my strategy/gameplay, i could still get a trip to the hospital, so an element of danger was still present, but overall it was fast, furious, and fun gameplay. When Cryptic nerfed that, that's when they lost my business. | ||

| haven't really played CoH much since I've been on CoV since it came out. I've been soloing relentless mishes the entire time as a mastermind and leveling is going ok. the newspaper mishes really helped out a lot since with some stealth, you can just pick the glowie and clear the glowie room mishes and just go for the mish bonus award. i've been leveling faster soloing than with teams. team architecture doesn't seem to be as important on CoV since as long as you get a few masterminds, you die rarely . .. brutes aren't much useful as tank replacements either since MMs kill most things pretty fast. | ||
