Thought I would start yet ANOTHER thread in the CoH section to basically gossip...whether it's about another player or some rumors you've heard.

Anyway, I joined the Freedom Monster channel again, even though I've got all the monsters now. Once I joined it, I kept a sharp eye out for some folks and when they started spamming again, I simply used the /gignore command (global ignore) and the channel is virtually chat free now...except for the constant sighting of the Ghost Ship in Talos, that is.

I've heard so many bad things about TacticGirl that it's unbelievable. I've ready quite a few of her posts over at the CoH boards and yeah, she is annoying. However, yesterday I teamed up with her for about four hours and didn't even know it (CalienteGirl). Polite, great team play, nearly a model CoH hero. Today when she asked to join, the entire team threatened to quit if I invited her to the team. I've seen her spam once in the Freedom Monster channel and she was quickly silenced. Other than that, I've never had a problem with her.

Oh...anyone got any friends in mind to join the PimpRig Republic SG? Droeblek9 and I have been discussing that we'd like to expand out little family a bit so there is more of a chance of getting a pickup team with people we know. Unfortunately, the short list of friends on my global happens to be extremely short and they are already in a SG (R1PPER, RooGirl, Son o' Santa, DJ Soundwave). Worse comes to worse, we'll start an uberw00t supergroup and move all of our lvl 50's over to that one and drop some of our alts that we don't play very much from the SG to make room. I doubt that last part happens as the max number in a SG is 75. We'll just limit new members to two or three alts in the SG if we garner a lot of interest.

Some rules for the SG that I've been working on are...


* There is a ZERO COMMITMENT as to the number of hours a person has to play every week as opposed to a lot of other SG rules. However, and this is a personal one for me, I would prefer that you at least log in with your alts at least once a month. We've got some toons that haven't been logged into for over three months now, but those belong to OverKill and DuckWarrior...people we know.

* There is NO REQUIREMENT that you drop what you are doing to rush to the aid of a SG member that calls for help. However, we are cool enough that 99 times out of 100 we'll do it without thinking twice about it (that one time you'll be on the winning team taking down the Kraken and then it's too bad so sad for you...hehe).

* There is NO SPECIFIC COSTUME REQUIREMENT as there is with other super groups. We do have a primary color and a secondary color (the PR colors). Although not required, it's nice to switch over to the SG colors when teaming with other SG members. It gives those not in our SG a chance to ask about the colors and the SG and it gives us a chance to let them know how great the SG is.

* There are no dues; however, we've got CoV coming up and one of the biggest features is the opportunity to build your own Super Hero HeadQuarters. What this will entail, I have no idea. It could be extremely expensive to set up, there may be a monthly "rent" of influence for it, and some other issues. Droeblek9 and I would really like to set up a SG as a place for us to drop off enhancements and the like to other players, plus it will stop the ridiculous practice of playing "Banker".

* While playing CoH, you'll act accordingly. People who get banned over violating the EULA for something stupid could face being kicked from the supergroup. Examples would be spamming the channels in an obnoxious manner, using vulgarity on a common basis over any channel other than a closed team channel, and generally making yourself out to be a horse's butt (no need to give more examples...that should be clear enough).

* Current Head Pimps are droeblek9, Glitterkill, FroggieGirl, and I. If you've got a problem with someone in the SG, take it with one of us with an ingame tell or you can contact droe or I at this site via PM. I'm convinced that everything can be solved with a little communication.

* These rules are not set into stone as I need to confer with the other Head Pimps. Other rules to follow but rest assured, they will be as lax as these are.

concerning TacticGirl:

-first time i noticed something bad with her was when I was in a mish and we had a tank that was herding. she kept constantly trying to drop into the running herd and nuke them while claiming she was trying to "skate" on the power lines. she got booted by the team leader and proceeded to complain until the mish kicked her out of the level.

-second time was through the badge channel. Triad Daughter was running one of the stature badge mishes and CalienteGirl was on the team. A little bit later we hear on the channel that someone had gone into the mish and completed it before everyone was inside. There was a possibility of Triad not getting it either but fears of that were put down when she left the mish and got the badge.

-other than those two times where they actually affected me or someone that was in the SG, I've seen her whine, beg, and spam on any of the freedom channels she has access to. When I was doing AV mishes or mishes that we could farm to get hunting badges like Monkey Wrencher, I would ask people in the channels if they wanted in or not. She asked, I told her no and explained to her that it was because of the previously mentioned problems. She proceeded to spam tells at me asking to join. The next time I logged and asked for a team for a badge or a mish, she kept spamming "still mad?" in tells to me.

Now I'm sure a lot of you are wondering why I just don't put her on ignore. If I did that, the channels conversations tend not to make sense especially when they're bashing someone that I didn't realize was speaking. She's been silenced on most of the freedom channels now so its not really a problem but she recently found out Incendia Dicio's name (previously only knew my global). If she decides to spam me again, she'll be the first and only person on my ignore list ...

Though I do think its kind of funny that almost every player 40+ knows about her. We almost have the same problem with Demented Juggalo (global) or Demonic Bull.(toon name). He tends to beg, ask, or spam the wrong channels asking for mishes like Bodyguard, Agent, or the AVs for Dimensional Warder. Problem is he's only lvl 30. I've never seen him offer a badge mish or trying to form a hunting team (except for enemies that are out of his range like Fake Nemesis) so I finally told him off for it on the channel. He's been silenced on Monster but I think he's still active on Badge (not sure if he knows about TF yet).

on a side note, I just royally jacked up on the tanker alt that I just started playing today. Went to outbreak to get the isolator badge and leveled to 2. Was going to start hunting the guys and went to go talk to Coyote. Apparently if you click "Leave" you still leave the zone as if you click the Galaxy City option. So now my guy's out one badge . ..

Man, you're only level 2: delete the toon and start over

Rob: great write up on the rules (or lack thereof ). I'm having the same problem recruiting. There have been at least 7 -10 toons that i wanted to invite, but they were all in SGs already.

well i thought about deleting it and remaking but I made it back in May specifically to get the Celebrant badge. so its a matter of trading celebrant for isolator.

on the note of uniforms. maybe we could have uniforms so when we do group together not only are we the same color but have similar costumes? we all get 4 uniforms slots so it shouldn't be much of a problem. heck I only used one of the slots since I spent my time doing mishes instead of redoing my costume

I thought about the uniform issue, too, and after seeing Nyte today, I'm thinking maybe we could all get a uniform that is a business suit. He's got one, I've got one, and you've got an empty slot.

I'll let you know what selections to make for the suit. It's just the regular suit jacket with the plain tight pants. Design on the suit shouldn't matter.

heh i got 3 empty slots . .. only changes i ever made was add a cape at 20 and an aura at 30

That's a cool idea for the uniform. Make it a requirement at level 20ish?

I think I would make it a requirement at lvl 30. Most folks are so darn anxious to get their capes at lvl 20 that I think they wouldn't want to get a cape with a business suit. At lvl 30, you get an aura and most folks put that on their lvl 20 toon anyway.

Refer to the pic below of my toon, Ammon-Ra, and see what you think, droeblek9. As far as colors, secondary options (i.e., designs), etc. while in personal mode is your option. For example, you want Cheetah spots on your pants, that's cool.

For being in the Supergroup colors...set both the primary and secondary colors for the Upper Legs, Sleeves, and Lower Legs to the color WHITE. For the Chest, select White as the primary color and the PR Blue as the secondary color. This will allow you to have a blue shirt with a white tie. Colors for the rest of your outfit can be set to whatever you wish.

Sound like a plan? Let me know what you guys think. Tried it with a Fedora and it just didn't look right...besides, a fedora is going to limit your face options.

Looks good, and sounds like a plan to me . What do you think of the "Dress Pants" costume option (basically the same as the picture that you've posted, but with a cuff on the bottom of the pants...pics coming after i reload PS on my Rig...ahhh the joys of a fresh format :/ )?

Emmert also says to expect an "amazing announcement" on pricing in the near future, chuckling when somebody suggests it might be the amazing suggestion that CoH players end up paying double. It won't be. What's more, die-hard Heroes can look forward to new epic archetypes and an endgame for people at level 50, using something going by the working title of "the Legend system" - and it'll one day be possible for nefarious Heroes to "go rogue". That's not to say they can summon giant beasts to club griefers and then laugh maniacally, but it certainly should guarantee some more memorable moments.

Well, I'm definately not open to having our supergroup base raided anytime soon. If we had a group the size of something like the Babes of War, yeah, I'd be open to it.

There has to be some sort of level/number restriction on those raids. Otherwise a large group of 50+ lvl people will just squash all the mid level groups.

Hum.....guess I'm gonna go with the regular edition and upgrade next year when it drops to $20.00 like CoH did. I could care less about everything except for the cape and the chest emblem.

Well, folks, from now on, please run all of your toons in SG mode. Gotta build up that Prestige if we are going to have more than a one room SG base (even though, that's all we really need).

Oh, for those of you who use auto-clicker (no one in PRR or UC uses it so we don't have to worry...nod, nod, wink, wink, say no more...)

heh i'll be doing things when in sg mode . .. like healing up my guys to get healing badge. should be close to the 4th one now.

anyways, so are we not going to have a hq for UW for a while then since we only got 4 people in it currently? wonder if the 4 of us should go back to PR Republic then.
