![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | 1 word....preplanning. Why would you buy something without first having an idea of the mod you plan to perform?

| Apex Tech God | here is an idea, but you have to compensate for the loss of unrestricted airflow. there is a 120mm fan in the front of my case, but since it had to breath through a 1" x 5 " hole the bottom, it is REALLY been cut on the terms of max cfm. just be original. and do what you like.

| Apex Techie Lite | The reason i bought it without knowing what to do with it was cause i knew i wanted to do something with it, i did need it to fix one quick thing on the computer, but that used so little of it...and why buy one of those little tiny tubes of it for 1.99 with for 2 bucks more you can get a 13 oz tub of it? Right now i'm thinking maybe a fan duct or two....lol

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Here are a couple of great examples of Bondo done right, but as you probably know it has many other uses. We can't tell you what to do....just use your imagination. http://www.bjorn3d.com/Material/Arti...s/IMAG0005.JPG http://www.directron.com/lib/directron/contest1second

| Apex Techie Lite | Tell me...i just got in from cutting my window, its pretty simple...nothing fancy, had to cut it so the plexi i have right now will fit, as i am almost bankrupt and wont be able to get out to get the plexi probably at all this month...I'm thinking maybe making the window kinda just magicly appear by spreading bondo half on the metal case and half on the plexi so it kinda just slowly goes into the plexi......would give a kinda fade in look i think....but the window will be held on there most likely with 3m double sided tape so i dont know how flexible bondo is and if i should do that or not......I'm thinking about things that i could make kinda blend into the case with the bondo.....I'll see what i can come up with :-)

![]() | Bondo is not supposed to flex. IT will crack and flake off if any flex is there. Remember Bondo is primarily used sparingly to smooth irregular surfaces once all other means of working out the waves/dents have been tried. I would suggest mixing up a batch and just practice spreading it on a piece of glass. The trick with bondo is to spread it on as evenly and smoothly as possible. Once the bondo starts to set but not fully cured...usually a couple of minutes you can use files, razor blades or a shaper blade (looks like a cheese grater) to give the bondo the final shape it should take. Let the bondo cure per the cans directions then start sanding with 80 grit sandpaper and feather out the edges. Don't paint over the bondo too soon. IF you do it will most likely bleed through the paint and it will be very obvious where the bondo is and the metal is. Also you may have airbubbles in the bondo once cured and if so you'll need to get a tube of spot putty. This needs to go on in very thin coats. Use just enough to smooth the surface of any pinholes/bubbles. Bottom line is remember it's not clay but a filler. Practice, practice, practice!
