i have a plan for the side window tell me what you think. the green is about the color i want to paint it and the black is where its going to be cut with green ccs. what do you think about the design?

and a question about overclocking, ive never done it and am intrerested to try. could i do it with my sk-7 and smartfan, the temps are around 36-38c. what would i want to stay under? and how would i go about it? i have an epox 8rda+, i want to set the settings for expert and then start to bump up the fsb until what happens? it dosent boot? and when it doesnt boot what do i do reset the cmos and try again? and cant i curropt my bios like that or is that only under a really high oc? ive been reading all the threads about this so i kinda have an idea on what to do but help a noob out please. thnkx

also the post code stays at ff after its done loading, is that ok?

Ive been dabbing into a bit og ocing myself. Basically youll want to bump up your fsb until you cant post. You might want to incorporate your multiplier and possibly changing the vcore. what type of cpu and memory are you running?

Hey dimazz....nice window idea. as for your oc question. i have the 8rda+. if it wont boot after you bump the fsb up to much restart the machine and hold down the insert key until it boots. it resets to either your previous settings or a fail safe defualts. i figured that out by just playing with it cause i didnt want to have to clear my cmos.

btw: im running a 195mhz fsb(11 multiplier) on my 2500+ right now. running at 3000+ speeds.

love the window design, good luck cuttin it. looks like it will take ya some time. About OCing, i love when people ask about, cause then it gives me info on how to do it myself I plan on "downgrading" to a 2500+ from my current 2600+ so i can do some nice overclockin

its close, but its not exact the actual big window part will have to be shorter for it to fit but the dragon and rounded part is. thanks for the tip mavrick ive never heard of that but when time comes i guess ill try it out. thanks for all the coments.

btw i just put a side intake on the gfx card yesterday and it lowerd my cpu temp about 4 degrees. sweet!

edit - just did some ocin, mult 12 and fsb 166. 37*C i dont have nething to test stability yet. can someone give me a link to prime 95 and the cpu speed and stats thing (forgot name) and anything else that could help. i dont need 3dmark i know where that is. but anything would be great.

damnit, it crashed after about an hour of photoshoppin. o well im just waiting till i get my contraptioon built and see what happens. i just set it back to defaults for now. if anyone knows the links it would be greatly apprectated. i also know what im doing with the front bezel, but thats going to be sercet for now (i think ill be the first to do it ive never seen it done). ill make this thread the worklog for it so keep an eye out to see how the window turns out.

How are you planning on cutting that anyway? It looks like very miticulous work.

Prime95
CPU-Z (stats and stuff)
Memtest86 (tests memory stability)
Motherboard Monitor v5.3 (great tool for monitoring your temps)
Sandra (All-round stability test)

That should about do it for you.

im planning on cutting the major cuts with my dremel and all the small stuff by hand with one of those little metal saws. and im going to buy those rounded edge and flat tiny files and do the really little stuff with that.
