| Thought you guys might like this. The reason I say older cases is because most new cases don't come with the little 'plaque holder'. I am currently working on an older generic case though, which does have one. I decided to print out my own 'plaque'. The spot is 1" X 1" square. I made/printed this in photoshop at 300dpi, and printed it on photo paper. I doubt I will keep this one, but I just wanted to try this. It is stuck on there with a little piece of double sided tape for now. | ||

| Etiquette & English Gentleman | Dude, I don’t mean to p155 on your chips, but you’re kind of re-inventing the wheel here … only making it octagonal. Just about any modding store has case badges, if you really want something unique, you can either find a kit with the proper vinyl facings (so it doesn’t look like a bit of paper stuck on), or find a manufacturer somewhere that’ll do a small print run for you (& then sell the excess on eBay). Kudos to you for wanting something different, but you could do better than the “Bill Gates ownz my ass†artwork. ![]() EDIT: try here for getting your own badges made; here for a kit; and here for ready made badges for starters - no doubt there are 100's of similar pages/options out there ... | I know there are badges you can buy, but my idea what to make one. I'm not a big fan of buying 'kits' to do stuff, I'd rather start from scratch. I know the XP logo sucks, but I didnt feel like drawing one up yet. I was mostly testing the print size with this one. I'm also thinking of removing the plastic behind it, and putting an LED there, so it glows. | ||

Krusty - maybe you haven't noticed the last posting dates in the threads you've been replying to. I just mention it as you're a newcomer here & people are touchy when it appears that peeps are trying to boost their postcount by resurrecting still warm but old threads. Think about it anyway ... comments in the gallery count towards your count too btw - posting useful, constructive comments in old postings there is not going to get you flamed. ![]()

I agree Coel. Besides if you are going to mod it and do everything else yourself why turn around and settle for factory. Custom is all the difference, and who really remembers to mod their power switch while modding their case. One of the most overlooked mods.
