Default Cutting into already painted cases... good or bad?

I got a case for christmass it's kinda premodd'd with awindow that im going to redo and the back has a 60mm fan wich sucks for exhaust unless you buy a delta.. so is it ok if I throw a fan on top and a window maybe or will it chip paint if I cut it and if this is is there any way to touch it up? I.E. car paint from pepboys like in the tubes.. or should I just build myself a new case?

touchup paint will work but to minimize the damage mark off the edged of your cut with masking tape.

Yeah, what Buzz said. Building a new case because an exhaust fan is too small and you don't want to chip the paint really makes no sense whatsoever to me. It's all part of modding.

P.S.--What color is it? And are you planning on painting it or leaving it stock color?

He probably wants to keep it the stock color if he's afraid of chipping it, otherwise he could just sand and prime it.

Well my case came with a window and the ****ty exhuast, i think ill put a delta in it or mod it for a tornado, or cut a whole in the top for a tornado.

it's black and glossy thats why I wasn't sure if it would be bad to cut into it might look crappy.

like before me... masking tape helps minimize the paint ruin, if you're going to put a window, you can use a rubber sleeve to cover the edges of the hole
