| I bought a pair of retro tail lights from a car boot sale at the weekend similar to these... ![]() I plan to fix them on the front of my case. Whilst there's no problem wiring them to a Molex cable and having them connected to a switch or whatever, I want to get them to flash as per the CD/DVD LEDs. How can I do this? | ||

| would it be ok to mod it to use leds instead of a bulb? those would be easier to drive. either way to get it to be bright enough you will need electronics to switch it. an optical isolator and power transistor if you use a bulb. a relay wouldnt be ideal for a flashing application, though you could. | ||

| LED, LEDs, LED-Module, Superflux, Power LEDs bei LED 1.de ® - Ihrem LED-Fachdiscounter anything to do with LED's is in here any kind its crazy. OR............ Google Image Result for http://www.easternmarine.com/em_store/images/lighting/LED%20KIT.jpg get that and rewire it to the led switch from the CD drive, and plug a wire to the HDD pins and it should also work, i got mine to flash with simple two pin wires that pulled off from an extra fan and soldered them to brighter LED's. | ||
